HDFC CREDIT LIMIT INCREASE

Received an offer for increase in the credit limit from HDFC in view of the festival season I guess . Decent limit increase in my Regalia. From 3.55L to 4.26L, an increase of exactly 20%.

Other members also check for the limit increase offers.

Why would you not accept? It's a decent 350% increase.

In that case, you should opt for manual increase via Salary Slips. Because automatic LEs don't provide 1000% bumps.

Also, if you take this LE, you won't be able to avail any LE for 6 months. So choose wisely.

I don't think this 6 months criteria applies strictly.

Jo hai sab send kardo, pata nahi kya kaam aajae 😀 .. I've got LE two times by sending documents and forms to Chennai office. Below is what I sent both the times:

Limit Enhancement Form - HDFC (You'll find online)
Printed Letter stating reason for LE (I mentioned I wanted to travel with family in future so needed more limit for huge spending)
Latest 3 months Salary Slips
Latest ITR copy
Latest 3 months bank statement (if your account is not with HDFC)

I sent the docs and were received this Monday only.
But there is no update till now. Will I receive any SMS or email or how would this be done?

It takes time. May be 10-12 days. I clearly remember receiving an email as an intimation for enhanced limit. Not sure about sms.

I had sent the documents for upgrading my credit card. Got an email today and they also denied it "due to non-approval of my request". Not even increased the credit limit.

Many people holding good NRV with HDFC bank and using card regularly don't see good LE offers. I have AMEX MRCC and HDFC Millenia CC. Given that AMEX is good with periodic LE offers based on spending history, should I increase my usage on MRCC or hopelessly wait for HDFC Millenia CC LE by spending more in CC and maintaining few lakhs in my HDFC A/C ? Any suggestions ?

Bank Account Relationship is not considered in HDFC's Credit Card Relationship. Check the countless posts on the forum about the same. You need to keep spending on HDFC cards and just hope for LEs, which is disgusting in itself. Don't manufacture spends and opt for low rewards just for this. HDFC LEs and Card Upgrades are totally unpredictable.

Chances are becoming low , increase will be harder after March. I think you should take it then try for more
