Does this work differently? As in, upgrade means the age of credit etc does not change ? Just card limit and type changes ? How does this affect cibil ?

Credit age and all stays same in Cibil only. I don't think there is any card type in Cibil.

my friend switched company 2 years back and he got a huge package and net salary was >3L
he was more interested in DCB actually, as he missed taking it via alumni offer
when he contacted HDFC CC guy, he himself suggested that he should take INFINIA
he applied and I clearly remember he didn't have even salary account with HDFC back then
and it was approved, but he didn't get FYF, he had to pay joining fees

That CC guy deserves a Padma Shri for his selfless service

Hdfc gives cobranded cards as floater and only 1 core card. They don't give a choice if you want a core card as floater.

AFAIK, they have got it with Infinia. I don't think they give it as floater with any other card.

Same with me. I was getting business credit card on online application, told rm don't need those was looking to get other, he asked for ITR, he said can get infinia based on itr as income greater than 32L(self employed).my 1st credit card from hdfc.
