HDFC says Rupay franchise is unavailable

my regalia ltf card is to be renewed this year.
when i asked the bank if i could ask the card on the rupay platform or not, they said" Rupay franchise is currently unavailable in Regalia credit card"
is this true?

another question:- will my card still be ltf if they renew it om the rupay platform?

reading another thread, i think hdfc is stopping issuing regalia on rupay. it has a new rupay-upi credit card so it is pushing customers who want rupay, to the new card that they lainched last week.
@nitinmits must have got the last version of regalia rupay.
let's see if they still provide anyone regalia on rupay.

Actually HDFC has almost stopped providing unconditional LTF cards from last year. Its pretty hard to get a new LTF card from them now. Better stick to old card only if you want LTF card.

Note - some people got conversion through email and some people got conversion through call.

He shared this info on DD -

If anyone want to convert, mail them. in call, they are saying conversion is not possible

After email in 3 days card got converted. Delivery pending.

So should I tell them to convert to rupay or renew it directly into rupay

I am very sorry, I have never asked for a renewal or reissue of credit card.

So if they convert it rn, will it get reissued?
I mean will the expiry date change?

yes ask for RuPay conversion, you will get the card with new number and expiry date.

I called the customer care twice today
They said regalia is just not available on the rupay platform 😭😭😭

no email and call are the only two options.
try calling everyday, one agent for sure will be converting your regalia to rupay.

But why do some agents straight up reject and some accept the request

because they are told by higher level management not to take conversion request, lol

"We can't give you another rupay card because you already have freedom credit card in the rupay franchise"
