How to get HDFC Infinia ( or DCB maybe) on C2C basis?

Hello Everyone,

Is there a way to get HDFC Infinia Credit card without having any relationship with the bank? I was recently told that I can get it on C2C basis, given I've super Premium cards from other banks. If not Infinia, I'd like to have DCB that can provide a path to Infinia in future. Currently, I've Axis Reserve, Axis Atlas, Axis Vistara Infinite, an offer for ICICI Emerald card and KOTAK White Card. Can I go to hdfc branch and directly apply for Infinia or DCB. Also I used to have beginner level HDFC card till few months back.

UPDATE: So the card has been approved yesterday, almost after a month and it'll be delivered within 3 working days. Now the only thing to be seen is if it's Infinia or something else that gets delivered. However, I'm going to get a confirmation from customer care about the same today.

Confirmed, it's Infinia Metal card, not delivered yet but it's visible in HDFC mycards app. Thanks everyone for pitching in and giving your valuable suggestions.

UPDATE: Card got delivered yesterday. It's a Master Card, thinking about getting the VISA version. Thanks everyone for pitching in.

I don’t have any card from hdfc. Last was tata neu which i closed in march. I am also not getting any credit card offers in my net banking

Then try for DCB metal. It is offered on C2C basis of limit more than 5L for other bank cards that are more than 1 year old. Try it via branch. If one branch is not responding then try another branch. With your salary levels and other bank card of 5L limit, you should get it

My rm doesn’t seem to be much proactive …even after requesting the RM seems to be disinterested ….finally after many follow ups I got a msg from another guy at the hdfc branch who handle credit card applications that I would be eligible for regalia gold …..should I take it or should I still coax them to give me the dcb metal.
Also is there an acceptance issue in India for dcb cards??

Hi,

I checked with a CC representative of HDFC bank, as per him
- Opening a Savings account is mandatory for Infinia whether it's C2C or not.
-All salary documents will be needed justifying the eligibility.

Is anyone aware if opening an account is mandatory now?

No, it's not necessary. The agent is just trying to make some incentive from bringing in a customer for savings account. I recently got the card,with no prior relationship with hdfc. No accounts no FDs nothing. Maybe try from some other branch and try speaking directly to some higher official instead of front end executive.

The problem nowadays is that banks are chasing liquidity.
For any bank for any request they will ask to open a SB account of high MAB or a big FD.
Please show them the website requirements for your credit card if you already meet them. If they disagree, ask them to send you same information in email.

Said that already, they say if you are unable to open an account, we can not help with application.
They won't send anything on mail

checked with Bangalore branch.
checked with Noida head office.

How is that possible? 5 lakhs net salary means salary between 1.2 - 1.5 crores I guess. This might be for Infinia Reserve. I got Infinia metal 3-4 months back with 2.6 L net.

Maybe your prior relationship helped in getting eligible.
It's hard to get the card just on the basis of salary without any other relationships with hdfc
