How to increase credit limit for sbi cards?

I have sbi simplyclick card from more than a year with 40k limit. I checked on sbi cards website but don't have any limit enhancement offers. I tried calling the customer care and asked if anything can be done on the basis of income proof but they declined?

Is there anyone who has been able to get their limit increased on sbi cards?

Card Closure Request via the app then the retention team will call you, on call, they will give 10K-20K LE. Reason low credit limit.

I was having 20k limit on BPCL rupay. Recently applied for BPCL octane and submitted salary slips as income proofs. They have upgraded my BPCL card to BPCL octane with 5lakhs limit.

Yes, it will work. They will call you to confirm it and record it before closing your card.
If you are still worried after requesting closure, spend some amount using the card, they will not close it until everything is cleared.

You can’t raise a closure request if you have outstanding balance
