Hi Friends,

hp pay app load wallet via credit card which card is having zero charges kindly share your experience about the rewards/CB for this transactions.

FYI my holding cards are SC Manhattan, HDFC Regalia, IndusInd Legend and ICICI Apay as well as LTF Coral.

1% payback + 1% cashback as cash + 1.2% Magnus base + 5% Magnus milestone + 1% debit card = 9.2% - 0.85% charges = 8.35%

As per my knowledge, I found HP Pay only useful for HP Gas, and HP Fuel (not sure anyone uses those other categories).

For, HP Gas - Book through amazon pay and get 2% + extra voucher cashback at that time.

HP Fuel - Load money to payTM wallet and use or UPI.

Basically HP Pay app is not so useful.

Still if you want a credit card to use in HP Pay app,

ask ICICI (because you have cards from them) to provide ICICI HPCL Super Saver.

or

apply BoB HP Energie Card for better beenfits.

Spoke to icici cc yesterday and asked for replacement or upgrade for my current ltff coral but they are saying ltf not possible so had a second thought to get a paid hpcl thats why posted here and good to know paytm use for fuel qr….bcos the shell pump QR codes not scanned by bank apps…btw from my home hpcl 1km and shell 1.5 km distance 😊

PayTM has card loading charges and no rewards by most of the cards, but if one go for Zomato/Uber route (check threads in card offers section) it can be possible without any charges (limit upto 4K likethat). Even HP Pay, has wallet load charges 0.8-1% whereas PayTM can go upto 5% depends on user.

But compared to HP Pay, PayTM has better acceptability.

PayTM has no better here, just providing options other than HP Pay app.

1% can be easily compensated for those who've cards with 3.33% returns and axis ace and many more cards, so will not be a concern for those (Even APAY gives 1% but strictly to apay balance no cash redemption)

Using SBI CB card to load HP pay wallet (tested no extra charges till bill generation and 1%CB since considered as utility).
3 Payback points get credited to 100rs, for the amount when loaded (its from HP not SBI).
Finally when fueling at station whatever the amount u pay by qr, 1 payback point for 100 spent.
All together fuel at 2% CB (1% from SBI and 4PB points equal 1re by HP) by this route.
Fuel surcharge savings 1% extra so 3% savings all put together.
Unable to edit the thread topic else I will modify it as "HP Fuel at 3% cash back" (for limit upto 30k per month as per KYC in HP, i own 2 wallets with KYC with different datas---me and wife).
Tested this pattern and usage for past 60 days its success!!!

What about loading charges?

For me its showing zero in HP payment gateway and SBI card also not charging anything additionally.
Will test drive with other cards like Axis Magnus, HDFC Regalia and update here if positive (why didnt tried those is that no CB there for those and need to track via RP credits only).

Also, let know what's the max we can load via CC, both in one transaction, as well as in a month... there must be some transaction limit for CCs in this HP loading.

1. CC limit keep as 10k since daily quota in HP is 10k usage.
2. Monthly limit for HP wallet is 30k if you do full kyc

yes if u use straight swipe ultimate it will have surcharge so 3.3 u will not get but in this way u can save surcharge and get extra % too

isn't there a convenience fee for recharging HP Pay wallet using credit cards? How do we avoid it?

for SBI card i tested its not taking anything extra not sure since its PSU any arrangement with oil companies(in fact sbi cb gives 1% CB for this loading too)

other easy option is to use ICICI HPCL super saver (not ordinary hpcl card)

Guys went to shell after a long time almost 6m continued with Hp pay app and icici fastag by using load via amex gold card
Did 4600 around fuel by shell v power petrol and came to know shell is giving 25 rupee off for every 1000 if we use vpower
Finally got 100/- discount

Ah they asked me if I have app. They said will get 100 discount if I had it. They never mentioned that it was specific to vpower. I filled more than 4k normal fuel.
