TechnoFino Option:
This credit card appears to be a direct competitor to the Axis Atlas credit card. Axis Atlas clearly holds the upper hand over the HSBC TravelOne credit card, offering 4% partner points on regular spends and 10% accelerated partner points. In comparison, HSBC provides 4% partner points on accelerated categories and 2% on other spends.
The exclusion list is also longer for the HSBC TravelOne card. While the Axis Atlas card has a similar exclusion list, it still allows reward points on education payments, which the HSBC TravelOne card does not. Additionally, the milestone benefits on the HSBC TravelOne card are not particularly appealing.
Overall, Axis Atlas seems to be the better option for now. However, if you’re looking for an alternative in the mid-range credit card category with a variety of transfer options, the HSBC TravelOne card can still be a good choice.
That said, keep in mind that you can earn double the rewards on eligible spends with the Axis Atlas card compared to the HSBC TravelOne card. However, Axis Atlas does have a few drawbacks, such as reward transfer capping and low Group A partner transfer limits. So, if you are a very high spender, the HSBC TravelOne card can be a good addition to your portfolio after fully utilizing the benefits of your Axis Atlas card.
