TechnoFino Option:

This credit card appears to be a direct competitor to the Axis Atlas credit card. Axis Atlas clearly holds the upper hand over the HSBC TravelOne credit card, offering 4% partner points on regular spends and 10% accelerated partner points. In comparison, HSBC provides 4% partner points on accelerated categories and 2% on other spends.

The exclusion list is also longer for the HSBC TravelOne card. While the Axis Atlas card has a similar exclusion list, it still allows reward points on education payments, which the HSBC TravelOne card does not. Additionally, the milestone benefits on the HSBC TravelOne card are not particularly appealing.

Overall, Axis Atlas seems to be the better option for now. However, if you’re looking for an alternative in the mid-range credit card category with a variety of transfer options, the HSBC TravelOne card can still be a good choice.

That said, keep in mind that you can earn double the rewards on eligible spends with the Axis Atlas card compared to the HSBC TravelOne card. However, Axis Atlas does have a few drawbacks, such as reward transfer capping and low Group A partner transfer limits. So, if you are a very high spender, the HSBC TravelOne card can be a good addition to your portfolio after fully utilizing the benefits of your Axis Atlas card.

Thanks for the credit. But according to T&C if I am not wrong I don't think we get RP for every INR 50. Its like HDFC Infinia/DCB where even for INR 149 you get 0 RP.

No competition to atlas at all since hsbc only covers a few metro cities.

HSBC India's mobile app is frustratingly outdated and riddled with bugs. It's shocking how a global bank of their stature cannot offer a seamless digital experience. The app has little to no features at all, making it feel more like an afterthought than a modern banking tool.

To make matters worse, their customer experience (CX) team is absolutely disappointing. It’s a nightmare to get anything resolved, as responses are robotic, unhelpful, and painfully slow. They lack both empathy and efficiency, leaving customers stranded without clear solutions. Considering their competition, HSBC India seriously needs to up their game in digital services and customer support.

Adding insult to injury, their app doesn't even have the basic functionality to pay credit card bills for non-HSBC account holders. For HSBC account holders, payments take a full working day to reflect, and for non-account holders, it takes a shocking 3 days! Even public sector banks have better tech infrastructure and faster payment processing. It's astonishing that HSBC is so far behind in such a critical area.

I would have to give this to HSBC for making a system in favour of the user where there is minimum loss of reward points unlike other card issuers.

HSBC has return rate of 3.33% and gives 1:1 conversion of reward points to Air India, British Airways, Etihad, Singapore and Intermiles
Intermiles (worth 41 paisa) are not worth taking without Amazon pay vouchers available
