ICICI Bank iShop Accelerated Reward Points Portal Launched - Upto 36% Reward Rate 🔥

As promised by ICICI Bank at the time of launching the Emeralde Private Metal Card and Times Black Card, they have introduced their Accelerated Rewards Portal, iShop by ICICI Bank. Through this portal, ICICI Bank cardholders can earn accelerated rewards when purchasing gift vouchers, booking flights, and reserving hotels.

The portal is similar to HDFC Bank’s SmartBuy for HDFC customers. However, ICICI Bank also offers accelerated rewards to its debit card and net banking customers, even if they don't have an ICICI credit card. The portal appears to be in beta testing, as ICICI Bank has added a "Beta" tag to the iShop logo. So, expect changes in rules and capping.

Let's dive into the details of this portal!

Reward Earning on iShop Portal

Credit Cards & Debit Cards:
  • 6X Reward Points on Flight Bookings & Shopping Vouchers
  • 12X Reward Points on Hotels
  • 4% Cashback for co-branded ICICI cards

This is an amazing launch from ICICI Bank. ICICI Bank has often been tagged as a low-rewarding credit card issuer, but with this portal launch, customers can now earn significant bonus reward points using their ICICI Bank credit cards. This is a great way to revamp the bank's credit card portfolio.

One key expectation from ICICI Bank is that they should enter the airmiles game as soon as possible. According to some sources, they are already working on it. They are also aiming to launch a hotel co-branded credit card soon.

Wait what 🤯
These are all free for Wealth Account
Complaint to the customer care they will reverse the charges
Tried. They did not budge. They acknowledge its wealth but the fees will not be waived.

Maybe he's having basic account with wealth credit card

Qualified for wealth account basis credit limit + demat. However ICICI gives very conflicting information on what's the true criteria.

Finally, an RM has now been assigned, and my request for the welcome kit has also been accepted. However, I am not sure when it will be delivered.

Let me know how it goes. I'll try to push them again.

has anyone tried purchasing amazon pay voucher using ishop portal?
please confirm if those are amazon pay gift card or shopping vouchers because in tncs it says shopping voucher.

I am expecting some reaction from HDFC on this, dont know whether they will devalue existing infinia. BTW why do you think they will devalue it considering competition by Times and emeralde private cards
They will WAIT and WATCH just like they did during magnus Era..biggest challenge in offering rewards is making it sustainable and keeping the customer within the system, they will watch if ishop is sustainable ...ishop is sustainable btw because there aren't any loopholes much.

Seems basis credit card they only tag at a higher level.
The actual wealth relationship would unlock only on real value being generated through Salary/NRV/TRV.

Same thing is happening with Times Black card also.
Imagine how would a person with 50k salary be eligible for Private Banking (on taking Times Black card). It would not make sense for the bank and customer both. So its only a tagging. Though confusing and bank should change the system and process.

I am more wondering what would be the response of HDFC now.
Already holding EPM, now I am not willing to buy Amazon/Flipkart/Zomato/Swiggy vouchers from smartbuy. (Spend of 50-60k per month on these). There would be lot more people thinking same.

Expectations in short term:
Step 1: Remove the fee on Amazon/Flikpart vouchers immediately.
Step 2: Distribute Infinia to all people with salary of Rs 2 lacs. (And LTF for salary above 5 lacs).
Step 3: Launch Infinia Reserve at a nominal fee. Eligibility of Rs 3 lacs salary.

ICICI bank is better in services and technology compared to HDFC, and with a comeback in credit card rewards game, people wont have any reason to bear arrogance of HDFC.

HDFC need not react to this. This is just icici meeting their quarter targets. This kind of reward structure won't work for icici. Infinia is good enough, when the dust settles it will still stand tall.
If icici can hold this for an year it would be surprising. The people who have EPM now are quiet lucky though.
See their highest priced card is not the one which gives highest rewards, which I think by itself is a red flag.

that times card was never exclusive xD it was given to anyone and everyone...ppl with 2L limit around also have got 😂 times black is just a product for making money bcuz ppl won't be even reaching waivers mostly and the joining fees also is not properly compensated xD epm is exclusive and there they are surely giving amazing rewards

so u cannot compare times black .. its just that epm and infinia are hard to get so ppl are jumping for the times black those who want a premium card and want to experience what a premium card is nothing much... and there are ppl who dont care much about the 20k as along as they can hold a premium card which they can get easily..

for example - @Dr.Anand456 he just wanted to experience a premium card and it was hard for him to get epm and all so he went for times black

Ok - I have my statement date coming soon. Let’s see.

ICICI seems awful in crediting RPs though. I still haven’t received the EPM joining RPs yet, though they charged the fee in November.
then call customer care and tell them to send it

what about the taj voucher? did u get that

Yes, got the membership codes for Taj and Eazydiner but the points are stuck. CC is saying it will get credited in this month’s statement.

Looks like a lot is riding on this statement.
