ICICI Bank iShop Accelerated Reward Points Portal Launched - Upto 36% Reward Rate 🔥

As promised by ICICI Bank at the time of launching the Emeralde Private Metal Card and Times Black Card, they have introduced their Accelerated Rewards Portal, iShop by ICICI Bank. Through this portal, ICICI Bank cardholders can earn accelerated rewards when purchasing gift vouchers, booking flights, and reserving hotels.

The portal is similar to HDFC Bank’s SmartBuy for HDFC customers. However, ICICI Bank also offers accelerated rewards to its debit card and net banking customers, even if they don't have an ICICI credit card. The portal appears to be in beta testing, as ICICI Bank has added a "Beta" tag to the iShop logo. So, expect changes in rules and capping.

Let's dive into the details of this portal!

Reward Earning on iShop Portal

Credit Cards & Debit Cards:
  • 6X Reward Points on Flight Bookings & Shopping Vouchers
  • 12X Reward Points on Hotels
  • 4% Cashback for co-branded ICICI cards
Net Banking Customers:
  • 3% iCash on Flight Bookings
  • 6% iCash on Hotels
  • NA% iCash on Shopping Vouchers

Redemption on iShop Portal

You can redeem your credit card reward points on the iShop portal.

The value of credit and debit card reward points depends on the card you hold. For example, with the ICICI Bank Emeralde Private Metal Credit Card, 1 reward point = ₹1.

Redemption Options:

  • Flight Booking: You can pay 100% of the order value using reward points.
  • Hotel Booking: You can pay 90% of the order value using reward points, and the remaining 10% must be paid using the same credit card.
  • Shopping Vouchers: You can pay 50% of the order value using reward points, with the rest paid via card.

For Net Banking Customers:

  • Instead of reward points, Net Banking Customers receive iCash from iShop (1 iCash = ₹1).
  • For flights, hotels, and gift vouchers, you can use a maximum of 80% iCash, and the remaining 20% must be paid via net banking.

This is an amazing launch from ICICI Bank. ICICI Bank has often been tagged as a low-rewarding credit card issuer, but with this portal launch, customers can now earn significant bonus reward points using their ICICI Bank credit cards. This is a great way to revamp the bank's credit card portfolio.

One key expectation from ICICI Bank is that they should enter the airmiles game as soon as possible. According to some sources, they are already working on it. They are also aiming to launch a hotel co-branded credit card soon.

Loading failed...reverting to old game....

The way they are going they will just devalue Infinia severely and call the current Infinia as Infinia Reserve
I am expecting some reaction from HDFC on this, dont know whether they will devalue existing infinia. BTW why do you think they will devalue it considering competition by Times and emeralde private cards

EPM shows 17.83%, i dont have the card , just checked what every card is offering. Is there some convenience fee being applied or its some miscaluation?

No reason maybe I am just used to being pessimistic now seeing all the devaluations over the last 3-4 years across credit cards....this was the biggest win for me from this ICICI announcement (even though I dont hold an icici card yet)...

Gave me some dopamine and hope that its not all downhill and devaluation in the cc industry

The second image was for the accelerated rewards cap I mean . Times black now has 15000 as cap instead of the same 12000 it shared with EPVC as earlier.
Nothing seems concrete as of now, even earned points are not there on iShop. They might be tweeking bugs too. Just we need to wait for some more time on redemptions.

Once, I asked customer care about my Total Relationship Value (TRV), and after a two-minute pause, they told me it was more than ₹15 crore. 😅 Officially, a net worth of ₹15 crore is required for Private Banking, but it also depends on factors like how long you’ve been an ICICI Bank customer and how many of their services you use.

From what I understand, if your TRV is around ₹50 lakh and you have the Times Black card, you become one of ICICI Bank’s most valued customers. The customer care representative even mentioned that I am among a select group of customers—currently, only celebrities in India have accounts with such high TRV.

Honestly, I have no idea what’s going on here !

This looks like the case of pseudo-upgrades which ICICI frequently does. Your web UI will change but you will not get most of the benefits associated with such upgrades. For example, I am wealth but still have to pay fees for IMPS, debit card, SMS charges etc.

That maybe could be a case but I am wealth account holder too I opened with 1L cheque I don't maintain much and have done family Banking. Family members also don't maintain but one member has education loan I'm not sure if that helps in wealth eligibility criteria. But I get free imps many times I've paid CC bills that were urgent via ICICI imps as it allows to pay beneficiary Instantly after adding with upto 5L limits. And account opened in Oct'23 so far no charges have been levied except for picture debit card that an executive had requested on my account without my consent that too got reversed on complaint. Currently I have only ₹10 in that account and it's still functioning. So maybe it's person to person but so far I'm good and ICICI experience is neutral.

In my case, I am getting all the private banking facilities, but they were hesitating to provide the welcome kit. Also, the relationship manager (RM) who should have been assigned for private banking was not being assigned. That’s why I had filed a complaint.

Finally, an RM has now been assigned, and my request for the welcome kit has also been accepted. However, I am not sure when it will be delivered.

I have one doubt. Makemytrip gives 12% off upto 1800 on Mondays on tickets booked using icici credit card. Will l get that offer in shop also?
