I had platinum chip but blocked after a fraudulent transaction. I just never bothered requesting a new one.

As per my analysis you should get your plat cc back. Icici is sending offers based on existing cc + numbe of cc's.

Soon you will recieve rubyx ltf offer.

One of salaried friend was approached by an ICICI Credit Card employee. They were offering him Paid cards (Coral Rupay etc). But I have that card as LTF. So he got furious and asked that employee to give LTF offer on Coral. He declined. Then I informed him about Platinum credit card which is inherently LTF. But then the employee stopped talking for a moment and told him that ICICI has discontinued that card. I know he was lying. So he took the coral card with 499+gst.

So the main point is they won't approve LTF cards easily.

My understanding is that ICICI Platinum is only being offered via select online channels/marketing campaigns.

If you have Coral/Platinum (non co-branded card), you might get eligible for RubyX.

When ICICI was giving Pre-approved LTF Coral Rupay Credit card, I couldn't find the offer even after using my APCC heavily. I waited for 6 months without any success. Then I got the Platinum CC (Core card) and after a few weeks I got Coral Rupay LTF Pre approved offer.

I think they prefer Core (Non Co Branded Cards).

When ICICI was giving Pre-approved LTF Coral Rupay Credit card, I couldn't find the offer even after using my APCC heavily. I waited for 6 months without any success. Then I got the Platinum CC (Core card) and after a few weeks I got Coral Rupay LTF Pre approved offer.

But I got coral rupay and mmt on apay..
At that time I had fd backed platinum card also but they offered upgrade on apay.
Now I have apay,mmt,coral rupay,mine.
So it doesn't make sense to get platinum.

I am being constantly told that customers with only APay card will not be eligible for upgrade at all. It is apparently bank policy and there's nothing they can do. I've escalated until PNO. Even trying to go through RM couldn't get me a ICICI card. Even paid cards.

I've given up, not worth it.

My 2 cents:

If you need ICICI card and you need that bad then why not open a Salary account with them Coral is 100% guaranteed get the card then shift back your salary account.

You can apply expression card against Amazon and you will get shared limit.

Its not necessary but having minimum two cards is better.

Nowadays in ICICI without pre approved algorithms ltf no channel is giving ltf

In 01/2024, I asked them, via X, and got Platinum CC. Then, thru pre-approved got Coral in 03/2024. Did not opt for Rubix offers since then. Now, in 06/2024, got MakeMyTrip CC - again thru pre-approved offer.

APay card is around 5 years old. First renewal this month.

I've blasted the RM and his boss today and sent a scathing email to PNO as well. They've promised to do something. If I don't hear something by tomorrow will be sending emails to all senior ICICI email addresses I can find.
