ICICI mis selling fraud

I kept getting mutitple calls from ICICI regularly, that they are offering me LTF cards,
i didn't proceed for first few times,

then after few weeks, i said, which cards do you offer as LTF.
they replied platinum, coral, sapphiro etc.
i said, okay, give me a sapphiro LTF.

i went through the application process, confirmed multiple times it is sapphiro.
and finally when i received the card, i see they have given coral.

i have send multiple mails to customer.care@icicibank.com and headcreditcards@icicibank.com and i get random
standard replies, nothing specific about my query,

i even have screenshots of my chats with icici business account where they promised sapphiro card n made me apply for the same.

What more can i do here,
i know i can report 30 days after my issue was raised with icici.

Directly raise complaint to RBI ombudsman.
No need to wait 30 days if you've received unsatisfactory response.

Follow Twitter escalation. Hopefully you will get a resolution ASAP.

Not exactly misselling. Many of the on call representatives do not know the criteria for higher variant cards. Some may know but not able to get approval for it from their end so if basic criteria are fulfilling base variant cards are issued and then they ask to upgrade to higher variant. LTF is not guaranteed always for premium cards and is subject to bank policy!

you may be right, but the representatives should know all the details before communicating. They should either present all the details beforehand or should let the customer know that there can be degrade in actual card than the one applied for..

The problem is, banks like ICICI and HDFC do not decline applications, instead they just send lower variants with low limits and think customer should be happy with their ideology :\

Agreed with second point. First time when I applied HDFC card from net banking, I was eligible for Millenia it was showing, So I applied but they send me moneyback. so I refused to take.

Customer care said, you are not eligible for millennia, then why in the first place your system showed me Millennia 🙄

Ideally yes, practically difficult. Many banks outsource such financial products so everyone's skills differ. In your case, you can share the completed application form for Sapphiro with ICICI management and ask them to verify the process followed.

it wont matter even if the docs say that you applied for Sapphiro as the limits they have internally was not told to the customer...

If for Sapphiro their limit is say 50Lakhs NRV or salary of 3L+ per month, and you try to apply with 70k salary only because this info was not communicated to you, ICICI wont be able to give you LTF Sapphiro just because you were kept in the dark..

The outsourced party too is at fault. But they have their own performance tracks... if they start telling everything clearly, nobody would apply and they wont get paid 😛

they told me ignore the income docs field while filling the application.
i hold a diners club black and axis magnus, i should be eligeble for sapphiro
 
I also received similar offer. I declined many times but decided to go with it because of continuous spam calls. I asked at every step if it is sapphiro Ltf and representative did confirm it. I also got ss from them in WhatsApp but when it came to KYC I asked the person if it is sapphiro and he said it's some variant of rubyx. KYC guy said contact cc to modify the application for sapphiro.I am yet to get any update after KYC.I am just waiting to get rubyx at this point and will lodge complaint in consumer court. They will pay the price.

please tell me the steps while filing complaint in consumer court, i ll also do it, btw, i am getting my coral cancelled.

Are you sure the calls were from icici bank and not some third party , I don’t think icici offers LTF Sapphiro so easily , even after having a decent salary account with them for over 10 years I had to chase them for 3 to 4 months to convert my LTF Rubyx to LTF Sapphiro .

You can try raising a concern over Twitter , icici bank is very active on Twitter and you will get a response in 1 to 2 working days
