What's the MAB you guys maintaining in your Wealth management account.

And what's would be the ideal mab to prevent it from getting downgraded.
Or any tips to avoid getting the account downgraded without maintaining mab.

This 10k balance savings account I have since last 12-13 years. Not salary, normal savings account. Account code SBGEN (as per netbanking). Yes I have apay cc, coral rupay cc. Other than that no fd, nothing.

I wonder what triggered WM for my account.

Maybe because of high limit on your cc's

There will be iPal chat option in iMobilePay you can ask your Account Status Code and segment to confirm the same.

Contacted through ipal. They confirmed my account is indeed WM now.

You don't need to do anything except enjoying the WM account.

1) Call 1800 1080 from your registered mobile, if it says welcome to WM.. this confirms...You can ask CC as well
2) Ask for welcome kit. and
3) Ask for WM MC World DC

Enjoy 0 MAB account ..

Is the cheque leaf design different for WM accounts?
I have existing debit card, if I ask them for WM MC W DC, is it chargeable? What are the annual fees? And what's the forex markup charges?

ipal chat confirmed that I am WM customer now, but in netbanking it is still showing account code as SBGEN and 10k AMB.

Called up customer care, I was greeted with wealth management on IVR. But when I asked for WM MC world DC, I was told that my account has been upgraded to wealth, BUT, account status code has not been changed to wealth. So, they cannot provide me WM DC now. I was told to visit any branch to change account status code.

So, now my account is half-WM 😂

I am pretty sure that branch guys will not change status code for me, they will give all sort of excuse and might ask for payment or might say it is not possible. I have always had bad experience whenever I dealt with ICICI branch guys.

1.same benefits which primary member gets ....but account variant remains normal only
2. They also get it after requesting it via customer care
3. No welcome kit as the account is just a normal one, only benefits are shared and idk about bms offer

It is a combination of seniority ,CC relationship and transactions/spends... the major factor being the loyalty...

Might be the case then. I have used their CC extensively, also had loans earlier which are now closed. How do they define loyalty I don't know.

This varies according to the bank.. you yourself mentioned the kind of relationship you had with them for the past 12 years.. For ICICI, this might have triggered the loyalty clause and hence WM gift.. I am sure, the branc people will change the whatever code you are asking for.your account. no issues at all

This is a very good idea... Ideal scenario to reach out to ICICI via X... ( not those LTF Coral variant upgrades..,even though I myself did this, it is a bit of an over-abuse)
