For ICICI, this might have triggered the loyalty clause and hence WM gift.. I am sure, the branc people will change the whatever code you are asking for.your account. no issues at all
My RM says upgradion possible via 5L deposit!Yeah most probably they will open new account and I haven’t heard any successful upgradation without 25L and their can be exception always

Your chances of opening account with 1L IP is higher on WM branch.Has anyone visited wealth management only branch? How is it different from normal branches?

At branch. As I expected. They outrightly refused. Said, "we cannot change any status code. Don't listen to any customer care". Then he said "I can see your account is wealth, but it's not fully wealth"No harm in trying and see what they say..

Visited nearest branch it was not a WM branch but had the WM cabin separately with WM RM servicing customers. I was happily welcomed by the RM into his CABIN. He explained about the features. Negotiated for 50k initial funding. He accepted my offer.

WM RM visited my residence to open the account. Insta Welath Kit was presented to me. I said I will do initial funding via UPI so didn't give him cheque. He explained the things inside the KIT and left. The insta kit had the netbanking User ID and password, Pay-in-slip cum cheque book, welcome letter, WM brochure book.

My account was activated without the initial funding. I confirmed this with the SMS received from them. I resetted my Netbanking password and logged in with the userid provided in the kit. The theme was still orange. I had an existing ICICI Netbanking userid which I used only for Credit Card alone, my mobile number was tagged to the old userid even iMobile too.

I called Customer care and told to link my Mobile no. to new User ID provided in the insta kit. They raised an SR for the same.
07/09/2023
SR was closed and Mobile no. was mapped to new User ID. The netbanking theme was still orange. I uninstalled the iMobile app and resinstalled with new Userid, here also the theme was still orange. I have three ICICI CC, which I linked to this new user id via iMobile app for which SR was raised automatically. my UPI ID got created and tried to move small funds and tested. it was working fine.

All of my three credit cards were linked. The app theme turned to Dark red (Privilege Banking theme) same in the NB too. I didn't move the 50k initial fund until then. I was able to see my Virtual DC Mastercard World and my Personalized WM KIT with Cheque book and DC Dispatched.

I went to X route to complain about the Theme.
10/09/2023
Fortunately my theme changed to Black. Checked NB also. It was fine. Having confirmed this I transferred my initial fund of 50K to the account.

Still awaiting DC delivery.
I have given timeline wise update so that other TF members can compare and track their process. Special mention and thanks to @S S V for clarifying my doubts then and there.
P.S :
If you were a existing credit card customer with ICICI and opened your first savings account as WM account with ICICI map your Mobile Number to the new USER ID ASAP. This will help to resolve lot of confusions. Thanks. Only after mapping to new USER ID I was able to see the Virtual DC details.

If you don't have any problem, can you share which city it is? My branch told me 1 million cheque required for fresh account or 3 million for existing account for WMSo here is latest update about my Experience
