Now i am getting a bit worried tbh. They have methodically cut off one channel after another...

Worried if there is any possibility if reporting to tax authorities or RBI? My CA while filing the taxes warned me against doing NPS transactions that i had done last year.

If they start deducting for incorrect mcc. Many accounts will be in negative rewards balance.

So far, they have deducted only for reversals i think. So it would be tough to fight this

What’s the harm in paying NPS via debit card?

No harm. Everything is not related to tax or worries, unless you have very less or no returns at all. If you earn in lakhs then you are 100% in your rights to deposit few lakhs in NPS

Other issue might be if you have systematically abused it by using your debit card to pay for many other NPS accounts (to get 2.5% returns and maybe pass on these people 1% discount)
