When I received the idfc wealth DC, initially I did some small transaction and then did a transaction more than ₹1000. Got 8000 RPs. This was atleast 6 months back. Dont know if anything has changed after that

I never did such kind of stunts and my first txn was atleast 1100 or in first case 2000. Pts credited within 2-3 days. 🤣
My ticket is also still open, so waiting on them

It was not a stunt of any sorts. I thought this ₹1000 minimum spent was cumulative. Then only I realised it should be of a single transaction. Confirmed it with some TFCians and made the ₹1000 transaction and got the 8000 RPs

After 7 working days, i was able to login. Today i called thrm asked why rewards points are not credited for Feb 1 and 2 txns. They asked to wait for 14 business days.

Yep, 2nd trxn worth 1550, got the 8k pts. It's confirmed, first tap card is kick ass. Just confirming but not complaining that i got 8k pts but not the pts of the trxn itself yet which I know I'll get, but telling for other's who want guidance.

@iamgroot see, 2nd or 3rd trxn me bhi welcome reward aa jate hai, agar first or 2nd transaction tumne 1k k niche kiye ho tab bhi (IDFC Firstap RuPay Platinum DC se).

btw I checked my acc statement, I did less than 1k trxn on debit card on 31st april 2024, and then did 1k trxn on oct 2024, and I still got 2000 welcome pts last yr.
Then I got to wealth and I made the same mistake of less than 1k in jan 2025 and then did 1k+ trxn later few days and still got 8k pts. So it's not just for first tap card lol
I also did small trx. My account got upgraded in 2022. Should I do trx of 1k on setu and check?

IDFC Welcome points bonus are valid on txn of Rs.1000 and above and it doesn't matter whether it is your first txn or 2nd or nth. You get welcome benefits even after 10 txns if that is your first with amount 1000 and above.
This welcome bonus is given with FirstTap or every new card. But it doesn't means some people misuse it to get replacement card like they did with Axis.

No, it's a clear warning. I am against exploitation of any kind. If banks want to they can stop DC on CC and many did that. 🤣
