Reward point value is common across all IDFC CC and DCs (25 ps per point). It is unlikely they will change that for any particular product.Any idea if Mayura/Ashva reward points value will increase before first year end

I have tried closing Ashva and they offered only 2000 Bonus points as retention. But I have closed it.Has anyone tried closing Mayura and got any retention benefits? As such card seems good only for international travel for zero forex rates so any case will need to close this before renewal.
So they are not providing good retention benefit + joining benefit has already been reduced.I have tried closing Ashva and they offered only 2000 Bonus points as retention. But I have closed it.
Let us see for the renewal timeline (August 2025), whether they offer any retention offer. So they are not providing good retention benefit + joining benefit has already been reduced.
I don't think many people will renew this or get new one.
Yes JF reduced. Seems not many.Is someone really taking these cards now? There joining benefits is reduced as well.
That's why I chose this because of its looks, although I chose the ASHVA card.I sooooooo wanna take the mayura seeing how goddamn beautiful it looks and then cancel in first year. But since the joining benefit is also reduced , I'm not able to go forward with my decision.
Let's wait till August/Sept this year since many people will cancel their card after first year.I sooooooo wanna take the mayura seeing how goddamn beautiful it looks and then cancel in first year. But since the joining benefit is also reduced , I'm not able to go forward with my decision.
Sure . That sounds like a good plan . Fingers crossed !Let's wait till August/Sept this year since many people will cancel their card after first year.
They might give better offers.
JF: 7078.82 - 4000(CB) - 1250(WB) = 1828.82(Net Loss)I sooooooo wanna take the mayura seeing how goddamn beautiful it looks and then cancel in first year. But since the joining benefit is also reduced , I'm not able to go forward with my decision.
Chances are quite low. They really should’ve revamped the card benefits. Right now, the fees just don’t match what the card offers. The launch offer was the best they had. Without that, the card’s circulation is likely to remain very limited.Let's wait till August/Sept this year since many people will cancel their card after first year.

Plus, the reward rate isn’t that impressive—even if you spend the same amount on another card(Basic cards), you’d end up earning more rewards. As of now this is one card in portfolio with zero spend but want to retain just because of looks best metal card. But will definitely close at renewal. Even premium cards have waiver at 8/ 10lacs annual spend. Somehow IDFC seems to have got credit card strategy all wrong. No incentive for anyone to spend on these.
The same reason I hold this product is its aesthetics. The IDFC’s rewards/perks decisions regarding its benefits are irrelevant, as they do not even provide a waiver regardless of the amount spent. Furthermore, its milestone benefits are equally ineffective. As of now this is one card in portfolio with zero spend but want to retain just because of looks best metal card. One advantage in Ashva is you get the Visa Infinite offer additionally with BMS BOGO. For movie lovers, it makes more sense.I must say I've been deriving good value out of the Ashwa card. Have been booking 6 BMS tickets (including the Visa Infinite offer) using it nearly every month now, saving anywhere from Rs.700-1000 on movie tickets a month. I would continue the card if they give a decent enough retention offer.
