Idfc power+ card

Reward system is not transparent i thik.

HP PAY app charges 0.85% to 1% for transaction done through them via this card.

Idfc not considered this charge in surcharge and no refund issued for same.

Plus sometimes pos transaction on hp pump charged upto 3%.

In addition hp pay app gives 1% value back , not 1.5% mention in brochure.

In addition how they difine grocery payment?

I am sure Local grocery store payment will not fall in that category.

You'll get RP for groceries transaction only if mcc is 5411. I've tried 5 to 6 groceries shops and only 1 had this mcc. Others were tagged as shopping or bakery shops. Also this card in not working on phonepe qr, atleast for me.

Welcome offer of 500 cash back on first transaction of 500 and above on hp pump .
Does it consider HP PAY app transaction Or POS transaction is compulsory?

Could any one explain about the grocery cashback clearly, First power says 2.5% savings upto 4000 every month & First power + says 5% upto 2000 every month, Could some one clearly explain about this. And whether they are posting the points correctly for grocery transactions?

For power and power+ maximum RP's you can earn are 400, worth Rs 100 per billing cycle. And yes they are providing points correctly. But keep that in mind that 400 rp also include rp for utility. Means you can earn only upto 400 rp @2.5% ir 5% on groceries and utility transactions.

But not 4000 rs and 2000 rs ?

Now days hp pay app is becoming headache with idfc power + card.
Now I pay with rupay upi credit card facility.

Though I assume I will get 4% via rupay upi.

6.5% is just a gimmick.

4% is from card it self
1.5% extra if u pay via hp pay app.
And 1% is surcharge waiver.

What I experience was
Don't add wallet balance in hp app with card. U will charge surcharge which will never refunded. Though u get almost same amount of points in hp pay app.

Direct payment via power+ on hp pay will attract surcharge and refunded as well, you will also get points in hp pay app.

But issue is ccavenu a payment gateway is horrible, failure rate is high. Second gateway paytm sometimes denied rupay card don't know why.

I contacted the customer service support of IDFC via two methods Social Media and the Normal Way. The social media team seemed to be more responsive and concerned as I tweeted about the issue and the toll-free number team did not know about it. I asked them about only getting 1% happy coins i.e. 3 Happy Coins on Wallet Load and 1 Happy Coin for payment which makes it 4 Happy Coins which is 1% for every INR 100 spent. And secondly, I asked them about the 0.85% fees charged on wallet load.
So for the Happy Coins, they claimed that I would get 2 additional Happy Coins within 45 days of the transaction and after listening to it I was unsure so I asked them for it in writing and they have sent me this in the email you can see the screenshot attached for the same. So I think I will get 6 Happy Coins i.e. 1.5% in Happy Coins in 45 Days. If anyone has received the additional happy coins then please tell me if it is true or not.
And as far as the transaction fees are concerned they said that it's platform fees and they cannot do anything about it.
So now effectively I would get a value back of 4+1.5-0.85 = 4.65% when using HP Pay.
Also, one more thing when I tap and pay normally at any HP Petrol Pump it charges 18% GST extra on the surcharge i.e. 1.18% of the total surcharge, but refunds only 1% which makes the value back via normal tap and pay at 3.82%.

So if someone can confirm that they are getting the additional 2 happy coins then I would prefer to go via the HP Pay route because I am getting 0.83% extra for taking that hassle of adding money in HP Pay and then paying.
I am saying it's a hassle because HP Pay doesn't settle the Money Added instantly it is available to use only after 50-55 mins after adding the money so you need to pre-plan.

To get maximum fuel reward , you have to use hp pay app, and payment must be done by credit card and not the wallet balance.

4% card reward points

1% hp pay points

And surcharge waiver also

Additional 0.5% are still mystery

But sometimes payment gateway got stucked and all thing happened in past with me.

So now i started payment simply with RUPAY UPI.

the sms idfc send after payment via upi is same as from hp pay app so i assume idfc consider it as a fuel transaction .

Though i have to wait till next bill , but if it works than i am happy with upi payment and clean 4% reward instead headache of hp pay app.

So you aren't getting the 2 extra Happy Coins which is sad. Please update after getting the statement if you are getting the 4% reward points using normal scan and pay. I guess if you get the message "You've fueled up" it is counted as a fuel transaction and also in the IDFC First Bank App Transaction shown on the main dashboard page it shows "Transport" so you should get the fuel rewards for that transaction.
Also I wanted to ask about the INR 500 welcome bonus because my first statement is pending and so far I have not received the bonus will I receive it on the statement date?

Finally bill generated and surprisingly no reward points for transaction done via upi option on petrol pump.
