mujhe abhi tak samjh nahi aaya ki aam aadmi bhai ke pass unlimited 1% cashback + 1% cashback on debit card wala portal h fir bhi wo Unipay per payment karte or Jio fiance ki maut per shok manate!!Mai phir se bolunga isme mera koi hath nahi hai. Mai toh RuPay ka galat MCC sahi karne gaya tha.

As Per some internal source from one of the Top PVT bank, and another bank name which has civilization name.
They Applied to BBPS to change Some MCC code in BBPS end for some categories of bill payments, Bcz of misutilization of reward points and wrong categorization.
In that 4900 MCC for CC bill payment also. And some related to insurance. And some other.
If BBPS considers it will change the MCC at their end also.
The petition inside was at Very High end employ of BBPS , what ever his decision they will soon implement if any changes.
Later some other banks also impleded into that. Which banks later impleded into this dont know properly. But the above two are for sure.
Better pay the bills pending as soon as when possible. It may be our last time to enjoy platinum chips.

Many apps have debit card option, question is whether they will give cashback when used.

It doesn't fetch you points mate. There are other platforms, you can use them instead till (if it comes) Jio gets it back.

using Plat/Mill DC? no, instead you will be charged with convenience fee. It's better to avoid it.
