Hi am having JUPITER RUPAY CSB EDGE CREDIT CARD, while swiping the card at any pos machine thru Magnetic strip on card, its does not work at many merchant pos machine.

Is these mag strip on card is really working or its for decorative purpose for design of the card.??? i have tried on 5 to 6 merchants, but same issue.

has any one face these similar issue. ???????? as jupiter app is claiming as that the mag strip is working one.

I don't know whether the mag strip really works anymore but in India it will work on very old POS machines which are not having facility of reading the smart chips embedded in the credit card.

If it's present on your card it's definitely working one. But now they have removed the magnetic stip from new cards, even my card is not having the magnetic strip.

It's good if everyone removes those magnetic strips from their card as EMV chips are much more secure.

Yes, it's an international Platinum credit card. You can see the "Discover" & "Diners Club" logo on the back side of the card with which NPCI has partnered for international transactions of Rupay card.

Jupiter app customer care has confirmed on mail , that magstrip on my card is for decorative purpose and they does not support mag strip transaction, even though its having a mag stripe.
