Axis Magnus M4B with Burgundy account

My employer has Axis as the primary bank partner and I have an option to switch my salary account from HDFC to Axis.
Had a chat with my Axis RM and he said my account can be upgraded to Burgundy if its made a salary account due to the tie up, even though I don't meet the 3L net credit criteria (only 2.6 L).
So If I am a Burgundy account holder, is M4B free? Or if its paid, any perks of being a Burgundy account holder.
I had normal Magnus and I closed it after devaluation.

Company tie up with regards to salary is to deviate a bit from income criteria for Burgundy and to keep the Burgundy status active. When you keep Burgundy status active, you're "Eligible" for M4B card.
Card charges will be applicable.

I am using Infinia, Atlas and Amex Plat Travel as my main cards and my use cases are revolving around flights/hotels/miles.
Will it make sense to have M4B added/replace Atlas by paying 30K+GST ?

Axis gives Burgundy accounts even at 2.5L net salary - depends on their corporate tieup.

Perks of Burgundy account are mainly the debit card perks- 1+1 bms, some lounge access, etc.

You will be eligible for paid M4B if you can get the salary Burgundy account - but with the recent devaluation in gyftr, the m4b card is useless!

If you already have the cards you mentioned, you can skip M4B, as it will be chargeable at 35K per year which is not worth.

Only use case of paid m4b is if you exceed 1.5L spends per month very regularly at least 5-6 times per year in non (insurance, jewellery, govt, rent) categories. If yo don't do it then skip it

Main USP of m4b has always been 4.8% miles rate on offline spends and AEP above 1.5L. While gyftr was good to have, it was never it's main USP.

Card is still quite good if you have lot of offline spends and 3-4 times/year spends exceeding 1.5L

M4B is no longer complementary for Burgundy accounts since Jan 2024 and this is unlikely to change anytime soon. They are not even giving Atlas as complementary
