Hey,

I live in a Tier 2 city. In between jobs, hence no salary slips. I need a FD backed credit card from either SBI or PNB. I already have FD with them. SBI - 10 lakh+ and PNB - 25 lakh+. Is there a list of cards I can possibly get? I don't have any credit card. I pulled my CIBIL Score from SBI and Its NH or 1.

Thank you.

There are many FD credit cards, but if you just want one from SBI and PNB, SBI Unnati Credit Card, PNB Rupay Platinum, PNB Classic, and PNB Gold, but it's not a good idea to link an FD of that big amount, you will have to close the credit card if you want to release your FD in the future; you should create a different FD for the credit card.

Many credit cards don't ask for a salary slip, my first credit card was kotak 811 fd based, now i have 10 without any salary slips

If you want fd based card why not from icici or hdfc with 10 lakh fd you can get high variant card ltf and there are many offers on hdfc or icici rather than sbi or pnb

Thank you for replying.

As you might have realised, credit cards were never my priority. I do not wish to break those fds at this moment, because I'll incur the penalty + RBI has also decreased the repo rate by 25 bps. I'd rather wait till Oct 2025 and then switch it to another bank.
