I am looking for a fd card which one should be best...

I mostly use cc for online shopping /recharge/ train ticket booking and offline spends.

Max fd I could do is 50k...
Or should I go for some bank account....

Just try to get that in writing! Most banks have very similar premature withdrawal penalties.

What cards do you already have? Kotak 811 fd card was good, but now Kotak is banned.

IDFC Wow is there but thats a ByeDFC category bank

Maturity Date: 3 June 2025


Assume, you are foreclosing it today i.e. 9 May 2024.

Term Held: 68 days ( Today - 2 March 2024)
Interest rate applicable for the actual term FD was held as on deposit date (i.e. 2 March) = non seniro citizen. 4.5% , senior citizen - 5%

Normally for a non- senior citizen there will be 1% penal interest rate for foreclosure. I don't kow about senrio citizen whther penal interest rate is applicable.

In this case , I will explain how much we get as interest amount in different cases:

Case 1): Normal customer: where 1% penal rate is applicable.
4.5% - 1% = 3.5 % on 10,000 for 68 days = Rs 65

Case 2): Senior CItizen where 1% penal rate is applicable:
5% - 1% = 4% on 10,000 for 68 days = Rs 74.5

Case 3): Senior Citizen where no penal rate is applicable:
5% -0% = 5% on 10,000 for 68 days = Rs 93.

But their cc is c category
And the time they take to process things is what it makes a overall pathetic experience
