Could someone please post a link to the relevant official circular? I searched on the RBI website but couldn't find it.

Not in next 1 yr atleast. Because even after on-boarding there will be glitches which will sorted out in phases.

Two opportunities: RUPAY cc to another cc may live soon🤣😂

Axis and HDFC cards will support BBPS, so instant credit
@Abhishek012
Rupay cc to another cc is already patched by all means......then whats the meaning of an opportunity here?

Multiple platforms have cashback offers running for credit card bill payments. We will not be able to now use those after exhausting DC limits(if applicable).

Billdesk is a private payment gateway company whereas BBPS is a bill payment system owned by Govt. company NPCI.
bill desk crictically do not give any reference number before receiving the payment ( just like CC avenue and others ).. If the transaction is failed, we will have to suffer a lot

What about co-branded cards then? As far as i know BBPS does not support co-branded cards.
Bbps does not support co-branded cards

I hope you referred onecard & other management fintechs ... these are fully co-branded, it's their choice as of now.

Remaining banks co-branded cards are fine for bbps bill pay

Actually i referred to OneCard, Jupiter, Fi, Scapia etc. Don't know about others. Hopefully all cards will be supported with BBPS in the future.

Seems the news is not entirely true. It must be coming from newspapers and some industry insiders.
RBI has not issued any such circulars (as far as I know from my contacts in banks). It is true that all the banks have been asked to integrate with BBPS since RBI wants to make sure all bill payments goes via BBPS.

I don't see this getting implemented in near future. Should give at-least a year advance notice to banks to plan for the integration. System integration planning & execution takes its own sweet time especially with big banks.

Last master circular from RBI on BBPS was this:
