Own HDFC Bank Swiggy CC and Want Core Card.

Lord

TF Buzz
My HDFC history is like this (May 2024)

Jan - Got HDFC Swiggy (20k limit) as first card.
March - Mailed for LE but got declined.
March end - Opened Savings Max
May (Now) - have been maintaining 1.5L in Bank Account for 2 months and will continue to do so.

Also, been spending around 25k from CC every month. (Never exceeded 30% criteria)
DC spends are around 5k.

Q1) When can I expect a pre-approved offer for a core CC? And which card will it be?
Q2) When can I expect the LE offer on Swiggy CC?
Q3) Will it be better if I don’t wait for pre-approved and directly go to the branch and apply for C2C after, like, 1 month in June/July (provided I will have SBI Elite by that time) with a much better Limit than I have on any other card rn?
Q4) When can I expect to be promoted to Classic Criteria? And will it, anyhow, increase my chance to get a core credit card after cobranded one?

EDIT 1 (Oct 2025): It has been more than a year, and I think I have found the answer to my questions with time.

A1) If your Credit Card and HDFC account aren't linked... Only then can you expect an offer. Which was not my case.
A2) I didn't get any limit increase. And as my limit was so low... I can't expect HDFC to increase the limit over 10x to match my other cards... Hence, closed and thought to reapply after some time. (It is a better way to get LE)
A3) HDFC won't allow any CORE card as I already have a cobranded one. So, no help.
A4) I got promoted to classic very soon, but it didn't help either.

In Short, if you already have a cobranded HDFC card, HDFC won't allow you to get any core card. Hence, the only Option I think is best for getting a CORE card is to close the Cobranded one and apply for a CORE card, and then apply for a cobranded one again if you want.

Also, by Core here I mean Millennia and Above and not MB, Freedom, etc. As benefits from millennia and above are considerable enough to close a cobranded card and then apply for CORE again. I don't want the Core card just for the name.

1. You will mostly won't get any core as already holding dfc ka swiggy cc unless close it or convert it
2. Someone said they got le on swiggy rather than on his core card.
3. Refer 1
4. You need to maintain in a quarter, next quarter you will get upgrade offer. Else you can request rm to upgrade after maintaining balance for 1 month ... refer 1

Is it possible to get a core card when I already own a Swiggy HDFC Card?
If yes, What are the possible ways to get it.

Also closing the Swiggy LTF card is worth it for a core card?

Experience:

I used to hold co Branded HDFC credit card. Even after one year of using it wisely I wasn't provided any Limit Increase. And I wasn't getting any Core card offers. (None of them possible if you already have a Cobraned Credit card).

So I cancelled that and opened a HDFC account to get first Core HDFC Credit card.

What ? How ? Can you explain a bit..
If you currently hold an HDFC co-branded credit card and wish to apply for a core credit card, you’ll need to follow a process through Paytm, as the application cannot be completed directly on the HDFC website. Once approved, the new core card will share the same credit limit as your existing card, effectively functioning as a "floater" card.

Steps to Apply via Paytm:

1. Open the Paytm app and search for "Get Credit Card."

2. You will see various HDFC credit cards, such as MoneyBack+, Freedom, and Paytm HDFC.

3. Select the desired card and proceed to submit your details. Verification can be done using your HDFC Internet Banking credentials or by entering the last four digits of your existing HDFC card.

4. Ensure you are using the Paytm account linked to the phone number associated with your existing HDFC Credit card.

After submitting your application, you will see an interface displaying your existing card limit. Your application will likely be approved within a few days, and the card will be delivered.

I had shared this trick in this forum earlier, but my reply in that thread was deleted. I'm not sure why—maybe the moderator removed it. I hope this post clears up any confusion and helps others successfully apply for an HDFC core card through Paytm

Freedom And Moneyback are cursed one.
How much time will its take to get millennia after these ?

Okay Thanks
I have HDFC Swiggy with 3.2L limit and their UPI Rupay card.
I can see Freedom card in the Paytm app.

But now as someone said as well and I have heard they don't upgrade Freedom or Moneyback+ cards.
Upgrading to Millennia will be possible?

Max no.. maybe it is possible as floater card...

Based on your usages and spend categories.... Swiggy ltf means it is very good compared to so many other hdfc core cards...
