Payzapp + Red Girraffe MCC Patched

Payzapp has corrected the MCC for rent transactions done on Red Girraffe. I did a transaction yesterday and the merchant name is reflected as PZRENT. The transaction got settled today and Axis has charged a 1% rent surcharge + GST as well. So it’s no longer reflected as a utility transaction

Also, I encourage people in community and in this thread to update here if reward points are not received after rent payment through hdfc bill pay->redgirraffe in case HDFC patches this path as well.

It’s still working. Completed a transaction few days back and got the reward points in DCB.

Hi,
I just recently registered my rented property on redgiraffe. Also, initiated biller registration on hdfc billpay portal app.
If I make the rent payment on hdfc billpay app, and use easyshop platinum debit card, do we get 1% cashback there?
Also, since redgiraffe already charges 0.39% +gst on rent, will hdfc billpay portal separately charge any platform fee as well?
For credit cards, I am aware hdfc doesn't charge any conv fee on the first rent of the month for all their credit cards.
Basically I want to know any hack method through which I can recover the 0.39% charged by redgiraffe

use HDFC Credit card to pay rent on HDFC billpay (its not considered as rent for now due to different MCC being used) and then pay your CC bill later with some different offer

Okay thanks. I will try with hdfc cc (moneyback+😂) this month and let's see if I am able to make any profit out of it. Otherwise will switch to platinum debit card next month

In amex, all kinda type category possible on earth, transactions are included in the milestone across all their cards. But where on earth did you find the portal to pay rent via amex card?
