Payzapp + Red Girraffe MCC Patched

Payzapp has corrected the MCC for rent transactions done on Red Girraffe. I did a transaction yesterday and the merchant name is reflected as PZRENT. The transaction got settled today and Axis has charged a 1% rent surcharge + GST as well. So it’s no longer reflected as a utility transaction

Paid rent using Payzapp on 19th January and it is showing as "PAYZAPP BILLDESK NON B" and not PZRENT. I'm hoping this means MCC has been changed. Waiting for the transaction to be settled to check if I am charged Rent transaction fees. Paid using IDFC Vistara btw!

I paid rent from HDFC Bill Pay in Hdfc app through redgiraffe on 25th Jan. Its been 5 days but the payment is not credited to the redgirraffe's account.

3 working days in total. i called, they said they are investigating but i am feeling worried since generally it takes 2 days for most people to see the amount credited to landlord via redgirraffe

It will be credited to landlord the next day, provided both the days are working.

what can I do

Same thing happened with me. I paid on 25 Jan and today afternoon I got the message from redgiraffe that payment has been received by them.

I messaged them on whatsapp number and mailed them. They are very quick in response. There are some issues at their end this time.

Hi all, Looks like HDFC has patched redgiraffe payment option as well in bill pay option via credit card. Now payment email contains remarks as RENTALBBPSNO instead of HDFC BILLPAY when payment made to redgiraffe via credit credit using hdfc bill pay. I don’t think we will get rewards points...

For me it showed as PZRENT today i.e, 2nd february.
Also can i pay rent through payzapp wallet balance to avoid rent fee charged by bank later. I hv kotak league, i don't care about reward and all.
