Payzapp + Red Girraffe MCC Patched

Payzapp has corrected the MCC for rent transactions done on Red Girraffe. I did a transaction yesterday and the merchant name is reflected as PZRENT. The transaction got settled today and Axis has charged a 1% rent surcharge + GST as well. So it’s no longer reflected as a utility transaction

How does that work?
I can see my redgiraffe verification pending on HDFC billpay and it's been more than 4 days
When I select the biller the only option is to delete or done
No payment option on the mobile app

Dont know if Smartpay will get reward or not, but I emailed Redgiraffe and got my rent payment refunded and paid the rent again after disabling smartpay. Transactions detail is shown as "HDFCBILLPAY Mum" which means there is good chance rewards will be credited.

Even with shitest Thrashback minus card we get to pay rent through hdfc billpay

And by wallet rewarding cards (non vip lounge) through payzapp wallet

I think he might have meant that HDFC might disable the RP through billpay if this thread stays general and becomes very popular

I paid December rent via HDFC bill pay - transaction description "HDFC BILL PAY PAYNOW". I got points.

I paid Jan rent via HDFC bill pay - transaction description "SpayNBBPS RG-0000XXX RedGi XXXXXXXX". The statement is explicit mentioning red giraffe.

Question - will I get rewards? is HDFC bill payment patched also or only Smartpay is patched?

It only shows the total accumulated points for the month so just check the movement in points from Today to Tomorrow..

Paid rent on 4 using dcb via rg + billpay. Checking in mycards app points has been credited for rent payment (not redeemable yet, after statement maybe). Others can check as well.

I've one question though.
Since, for HRA, we need to show payment proof in our organization. Will the receipts received from Redgirraffe work as valid payment proof by itself? (used to show bank transactions earlier) since it doesn't have any information about the payee account details?

Also, in case I'm using the HDFC add-on card, I can't even show payment with the credit card since the online bill details will have all the primary owner details.

Doesn't need to have bank details. Landlord and tenant name, amount required

If your Org has a receipt format, take print of that and sign with amount and PAN. It is good enough. No need to show actual transactions
