I've PNB basic savings account, the one which had Rs. 2k QAB requirement but now is ZERO balance account.

I want to take RuPay Select DC, which account variant should I change it to? I'm thinking of Elite Executive ... for that, I need to maintain Rs. 1 lakhs QAB, correct? Any way to avoid this without being fined for non maintenance?

By visitng branch, I can get the account variant changed, right? Or, do I need to close the account and then open a new one? Anyone has experience with this?

After changing the account variant, will I have to fill form for RuPay Select debit card or can I do the same via mobile / internet banking?
for elite executive/imperial cc you dont need to change the saving account scheme, you just need to maintain the mab for 1-2 days then visit branch and ask banker to apply which rsdc you want to apply by telling him dc code. can be possible on offline basis. after receiving card withdrew your money, you will not be charged any non maintaining charges..

okay, will transfer the amount right away and try to get this done this Friday ... what's the code of DC I need to tell at bank? Is it SAI ??

guys anyone redeemed reliance voucher, on what item you are redeeming on it and were you able to club more than 1? what is the limit if can clubbed?

Did it work?
I went to PNB today ... first of all, I was told that I can't get this debit card as QAB should be above Rs. 50k but I said that code is SAI and it can be done if I've Rs. 1L or above in the account.

So, first, I was told to get KYC done as part of process of getting KYC done at a specific interval time to time. Staff who does KYC wasn't available due to election duty, so, I gathered all the patience in the world and politely tried to get it done from any other staff present. One of the person helped to get my KYC done and after 1.5 - 2 hours, I was able to get my KYC completed and then I filled out the debit card request form.

The lady at the counter mentioned that yes, I can get this debit card and issuance fee is Rs. 708 and I confirmed to go ahead. At that point only I asked to issue add-on debit cards for my family members if it's possible, so, applied for 2 add-on cards as well. Rs. 2,124 has been debited from statement against debit card issuance charges. Now, waiting for all 3 debit cards to arrive. I hope it goes well.

You had a tough day at the branch. Was the KYC needed for account or as part of Imperial application process?

KYC was part of standard procedure, I think now there's a rule that re-KYC has to be done every 3/5 years ... and this happened for me because I did any sort of banking at branch after several years.

Why ₹2124, primary card was fyf naa?

that's when you've Imperial/Elite Executive savings account ... mine is basic savings account (ZERO balance account), that's why issuance fee was charged and that's fine too ... no need to maintain Rs. 1L QAB
Oh, so now the system is allowing the application of imperial DC with basic accounts as well?
And you applied for primary and add-on in one shot, didn't we get the error like before?

I read on this forum only that no need to change account variant to Imperial/Elite Executive, instead we can maintain Rs. 1L for a few days and directly apply for the DC.

For add-on cards, I read that one should apply primary first, then activate it, then apply for 1st add-on, activate it and then apply for 2nd add-on but I tried asking if I can apply both the add-on cards at the same time and hoping nothing goes wrong and I'll receive all at once without any issue.

Yeah, that's what I did. One by one.
So your DC fees are already debited for all the cards, and did you get all the cards or are they yet to arrive?

yet to arrive, did this on Saturday only and today it's Monday ... it shall take time to arrive but issuance fee for all 3 cards have been charged already ... I think I should get all 3 cards at once (1 primary + 2 add-on)
