2. Is the 1K MR for 4x 1.5K spend per statement cycle or per month?

Both are calendar month and for the 20k spend, you need to enroll online and the count starts 3 days after you enroll

It's per calendar month but make sure you do the spend well after 12.00 noon on the 1st

I did spends of 1500 x 4 on MRCC at 00.05 (5 minutes after midnight) on 1st January and I did not get the thousand bonus points because it was showing as 31 December transaction.
It appears that Amex follows USA time

Amex transaction systems are in MST. So make sure you transact after 11:30 AM IST on 1st of the month if you want it to be included for the month.

Both spends are counted per calendar month from 1st to 30th/31st irrespective of when your statement is generated. 🙂

It is required for MRCC only for the 20k spend benefit: https://amex.co/mrccenroll

For Plat Travel they will credit half the benefit and you will have to call customer care for the rest of the points every year.

For Gold no enrolment required.
