RBI complaint on Standard Chartered Bank

Take whatever you are getting. I had similar situation with ICICI. They removed both CIBIL hits after RBIO complaint and the complaint was closed without any compensation.
They never came back. Instead notified RBI that issue is resolved and I put my statement to RBI more then a month ago. SO far nothing.

All things they did to me, happened to some other person. What a pity from SC.

Such a crap and worst bank to deal with.

They removed all the enquiries they made, with in 1 month of sending cibil double enquiry screenshot and control number.

As a compensation they Offered me Rewards card as LTF and 1k voucher.

I told her and their management to f**k off and closed all my savings and existing relationships with them.
Just for a simple enquiry!

lol SCB is worth.
Max they offered compensation is 1.5k.. I denied.

They sent response to RBI my issue is resolved... I shared my reply to RBI 3 weeks ago and so far no update from any parties.
You lost the chance to get 1.5k. A simple enquiry isn't a serious crime. It doesn't harm you in any significant manner and removing it makes it as if it had never happened.

@vijay.vj Bro , frankly speaking SC is the worst bank when it comes to service.

You wont get anything from them , dont leave them escalate to RBI 😀
Why do you say that? I always get good treatment from them. I always get invited to the brnach manager's office. We sip coffee while she calls my RM there and he does whatever work I need. They even had people vacate their conference room so we could sit there and relax. Anytime I need something, I can call BM or RM directly. All this despite having a very basic Priority relationship with them. They haven't pushed for any investment either.

You got lucky ! Or I got unlucky !

Either way, happy for you

Na they are not far away... I have evidence of them claiming issue is resolved... false report to RBI and stuff like that.
They got trapped in bigger web while trying to escape smaller one.

Just waiting for response from RBI.

Generally speaking, I always like to deal with BM at all banks and fortunately, most are quite good. I sit and chat over coffee while they get the work done. I hate to go fill some form amd then stand in queue. There should be a lounge or special office at least. Union Bank, AU, Equitas, HDFC, SC, Yes, Kotak. ESAF etc, all have direct BM access for me. Only places lacking are ICICI and Indusind where despite top tier accounts, I don't know the BMs personally.

Standard Chartered is good.

Agree it doesn't harm in serious manner but that does not give bank the right to make unnecessary queries. Removing it does not impact consumer in any negative way. Forcing the bank to remove it is the right move.

You are lucky you have the time. For me a mail has to do the work. If not, then RBIO is the solution.

Let's not judge people here. OP has every right to complaint to RBI if bank didn't act on his complaint. Remember bank is the defaulter here and should be penalized for their action.

It was not a judgement. Who am I to judge? I am certainly not perfect, nowhere near so.

It was an indirect reference to the fact that two CIBIL enquiries are nothing to get flustered about. 🙂

2 CIBIL enquiries for one application is wrong. If someone protests against something wrong, I think we should support and encourage them.

I never said I’m not in support. I’m simply questioning, rightly, I believe, about the fuss over the two inquiries and time wasted in getting the second removed. Those inquiries are not life and death, are they?
