RBIO: Got compensation of Rs. 21000 from HSBC

Great success once again. Thanks to RBIO 🙏🙏🙏.

HSBC took around 2.5 months to deliver my addon card. Took around 7 calls lasting over 100 minutes and 3 mails. They kept sending the card to my old address in Mumbai in spite of confirming on call every time that address is updated to Kolkata address. They also failed to redirect the dispatched card to new address and card was returned to bank every time. In the process they also re-dispatched my primary card by mistake without any request for the same. After finally receiving the card, mailed HSBC for a compensation of Rs. 10,000 which they declined as usual, in spite of mentioning that they have recently paid me a compensation of 5K by BO order.

Next step was undoubtedly RBI Bamboo.

HSBC mailed in response to RBIO complaint and credited Rs. 1000 to my card on 12-Sep. In the response mail they tried to hide their incompetency and stated card has been delivered, however due to the delay they are paying a compensation of Rs. 1000 as a goodwill gesture. I replied stating please go through my complaint, all call date and time are given in my mail. Take out the call recording and see how you have harassed me for over 2 months.

Absolute silence since then, till I received the below mail from RBIO this morning 🙂

I quickly checked in net banking and found 20K credited to my card account on 19/11.

Wondering whether I should spend this amount using the card or ask them to transfer to my account. Usually banks ask for payment proof to transfer any credit balance from CC to bank account. In this case it was paid by HSBC. Not sure whether they will transfer or not, will give it a try. Last time they mailed me and took my account details and credited 5K in my IndusInd account. This time they didn't ask and directly credited to CC.

@sjmajumder Yes, request them to credit via mail, ultimatum bhi de dijye, 3 business din ke andar mein credit ho jana chahiye nahi toh firh RBI BO ke pass jaunga 😂

Waise pata nahi excuse de de ki ye failed, refund ya reversed se credit nahi huwa so ham nahi karsakte blah blah blah 🙂

Maja toh tab aata jab BO khudse attachment thoroughly go through karta, attachment ussi ke liye diya gaya tha na, batane pe apna kaam kar raha 😂
Also, confirmation mangta complainant se credit huwa ya nahi compensation of 20k ya closure mein kuch kehna hai 7 din ka samaya deta hoon batao..

Ya directly bank A/c mein compensation dene ko bolta, jisse complainant ko freedom mile kahe use karne ka, ye uske hi CC A/c mein credit karke khudke card se spends karwayega 😂

Bas 14(9)(a) clause dalke band karna hai inko non appealable...

Atleast ye BO baaki ke comparison mein ache hain, atleast compensation /award toh deta hai deficiency ke case mein, batane ke baad thoda bhaut sunta toh hai 🤭

Waise aap kitne amount claim kiye the?

This should act as a reminder to everyone out there- That Banks not just dislike accepting their fault a lot of times (almost every time lol ), but they aren't even bothered to provide a Fair compensation to the customer, when it's clearly their fault.

Leave success rate. People here, including me, the complaint is still stuck at 1st Level at RBI :face-with-head-bandage: been over 2 months now

Actually had I read your posts a year back, I would have complained twice against axis.

One in Feb for losing my application, to which the pno herself called and apologized after 2 months.

One in April, when they forgot to add my phone number to the issued card, and the bank manager did not know how to solve the mess, which took a month of effort from me to rectify.

Trust me, I don't have any connection. The only thing I can say is that the Kolkata BO is a genuine BO.

Send me your Home address in DM. I will come to live at your house for 2-3 months. Get my address changed in all Bank Records to your home address and then file a complaint with Kolkata BO :hehe:

I will give you a 20% cut from my compensation as Rent; but then again, I know you are a good fellow, so you will waive it off for me:grinning-squinting-face:
 
I applied for live+ card a month back and despite multiple follow ups, they are not at all responding to my emails.

Do you have the application number? If yes, you need to mail bank and ask them the status of the application. Based on their response the next course can be decided. If you don't get any response in 30 days you can complaint to RBIO.
