Real dilemma to get the Axis Ace credit card through GPay

So most of you must have heard already that Axis Bank has stopped issuing their prized Ace credit card since 1st February, 2022. I was unlucky enough to get my first Axis card on 31st January and got to learn this bad news on 1st Feb itself when I tried to get Ace on call (imagine my luck).:cry::cry:
Few time after that Axis care had told me that only a GPay invite would allow me to apply and get Axis Ace online and so I waited and waited and waited. After waiting for more than 11 months I finally got the invite on 19th Dec, 2022 🥹😁

and today, i.e. 22/12/2022 I tried to apply for the same. But before I was taken to any application page and enter my details... BOOM!!!

I inquired about this issue in our Telegram group and found many others to face this same problem and nobody actually had any solution to this. I tried to make GPay Chat Support understand but they were hell bent to disregard my invite and kept saying that I was not eligible for the invite and I had to wait.😫 🤬
I was almost shattered. 😭
Then I turned to our savior social media platform Twitter and tagged Google Pay India and Axis Bank, filled up the form from Google Pay and currently waiting for their response.
Seems like Axis Ace is eluding me time and again but I won't stop trying to get my hands on this card.
Fellow friends who are facing this issue can try out this method, so thought of writing this thread.
Thank you.

Axis ace is just 0.5% cb better than Flipkart for offline transactions. and for bill payment Axis Airtel card is better than Ace. Dont worry. It's not that much of a dream card. I have all 3 and I use Airtel and Flipkart card more than the Ace.

In some other thread, someone had mentioned a trick of sorts. Use GPay for bill payments and the like extensively for about 15 days, and then stop all of a sudden. After a gap(say another 15 days), use some other app like PhonePe for the same type of payments. You might get invite.

Not sure how legit it is though. Suggesting because you seem a bit desperate for the card and already tried many possible ways

Yeah even I'm holding FK & Airtel Card. 0.5% doesn't make much of a difference and isn't worth this much hassle for sure. I'm leaving 3rd place empty for some high tier Axis card.

Thank you for the trick. But doing bill payments for a continuous consecutive days seems to be tough for me. I'm waiting for GPay support to contact me and hope to get a fresh invite through them.

For those asking, I'm not much of a high spender so the 2% on Ace is a BIG attraction to me. And I haven't followed the Axis Airtel cc much so don't know much about how it can compete with Axis Ace. Can you kindly link me to any thread where I can update myself with Axis Airtel cc?

Axis Airtel is simple to understand:
1) 25% cashback (upto ₹300pm) for Airtel recharge & bills.

2) 10% cashback (upto ₹300pm) for utility bill payment done through Airtel Thanks app.

3) 10% cashback (upto ₹500pm) for purchases on Zomato, Swiggy & Bigbasket.

4) 1% cashback (unlimited) for any other payment.

Thank you.
I applied for ace on gpay on 28th December 2022. But from that day, it is stuck on 'Application Submitted' and 'Under Review'. I have lost the hope and applied for Axis Neo card which I will receive in 2-3 days.
