Received Compensation from CIBIL for delay in resolution

During January, I asked fellow TF members whether banks were supposed to add credit card accounts that were never activated to your CIBIL report. Upon receiving their inputs, I raised a report on CIBIL dispute platform against IDFC and Axis Bank. In a few days, I got a standard response from the bank asking me to reach out to my nearby branch with relevant KYC documents for this request (can't bother doing this). I forgot about this topic and thought I would pursue this with their escalation emails later on.
Today, to my surprise, CIBIL sent me an email mentioning a delay of 15 days from their end for complaint resolution, qualifying me for a compensation of Rs 1500 from CIBIL itself. So far I have only received this email, the amount has not been credited yet.
This is a first, I never thought they would offer compensation without me asking or even knowing as such. :hehe:

Can someone let me know what to do?

I purchased cibil subscription for 3 years back in October 2024 but they have still not activated that.

I have numerous mails and sr no.s but everytime they close the request by mentioning that they have resolved the request and to check my account again.

But nothing changes, still cibil subscription is not activated.

I received 8000+ from experian yesterday
Complaint took 4 months to resolve

Received 3K from Experian earlier last week for delay in resolution

I got 16100 ☠️ from experian today

How are you guys getting compensation from Credit bureaus 😵

I thought that they just report what banks tell them and so, only banks need to pay compensation (as per RBI guidelines). Seeing this for the first time.

Please share what was raised

If you find any false enquiry or loan accounts in your cibil or Experian you need raise dispute on their website .
Bank need to reply within 30 days .
If your dispute remains unresolved you will be getting 100 per day compensation.

Is it coming automatically or raised for compensation??

Compensation mail came by it's own, have never raised for any compensation from my end.

Had raised around 10 queries to resolve on Experian, received compensation for one of them for delay in not correcting my name against Kotak CC
