Hi,
I have been receiving statements for Axis Flipkart credit card which is closed in the month of July .

I have also received the No due certificate for it.

Should I need to raise a concern to Axis bank regarding this?

Or should I raise complaint to BO ?

Need some info, and do share your thoughts!

Thank you!.

Might be the CB adjustment. This might me your last statement on the card.

Axis Bank's accounting system n their riles acts funnily at times.

I closed my virtual Kwik card about 5 months back, with about 30+ rupees in credit. I am still holding 2 more Axis cards (Airtel n Ace). Despite sending emails n speaking to their Ccare team, the credit balance is yet to be transferred to one of my other cards. They say it's not possible. They want me to give a lot of a-year-old details of my other Bank's account details (which is now also closed) or open an account with Axis. It makes no sense, as I am pruning my existing accounts n close as many as possible (less luggage, more comfort).

I still get SMSs, eMails.... about the credit balace of that closed CC.

I let them do it n enjoy on their stupidity.

If the credit is about 30rs and paid from other bank account. that account details must be given. In case if other banks account is closed they will ask for Axis bank account itself, but cannot transfer credit to other cc. For them refund is simple than transferring from one axis credit account to another axis credit account.

Exactly, every banks have their own set of rules and can't be relaxed for selected individuals.

Unfortunately, non-bankers n computerized systems are running the banking operations now.

No longer individual BANKERS are taking business decisions. AND, they are NOT taking decisions based on banker's biggest USP n advantage - exercising their discretion.

Just following some set of rules alone n not using their discretion - certainly do not make them bankers. But, just system users.

Sad, but true.

Moreover, since the fundamental banking tenet is it's double entry bookkeeping, I am eager to know how do they do it.

They need to DEBIT my CC account (now closed) and CREDIT which account ?

They can't credit to their P&L account, as that money does NOT belong to them. They MUST return it to me.

Either through a CREDIT to one of my other active accounts with them (SB or Cards) or send me a Banker's Cheque - payable at any other bank where I choose to get it encashed thru clearing.

That's what is needed to be done.

Let them tinker their stupid rules n systems. I am not in a hurry. I can donate that 30/- to such an intelligent (but with stupid systems n rules) bank.

It's high time that they update their basic understanding of banking. Keeping aside their systems-focussed functioning.
