Infinia RedGiraffe payment via hdfc bill pay using credit card marked as RENTALBBPSNO instead of HDFC BILLPAY this time

Hi all,

Looks like HDFC has patched redgiraffe payment option as well in bill pay option via credit card.

Now payment email contains remarks as RENTALBBPSNO instead of HDFC BILLPAY when payment made to redgiraffe via credit credit using hdfc bill pay.

I don’t think we will get rewards points anymore on this. I will get to know in few days once amount is settled.

Does anyone else have received reward points after getting remarks as RENTALBBPSNO via hdfc bill pay ?

Atlas gives 2 edge miles per 100, also it charges 1%+gst for rent payment.
But when you transfer it to partners you get 2x points except marriott. Also rupee conversion is 1.80 per point for Accor. So atlas gives more value for now 😜

Another option is:
SBI Vistara Prime, use it load payzapp wallet and pay rent using it. No extra rent fees on card due to wallet load and achieve milestones. But no extra points.

I have paid multiple times few months back. We just need to have full amount in pz wallet. Are there any changes to that now? Have you tried it ?

Not tried rent but heard. As rent amount is significant so can't risk the amount lying in wallet. I am sure cc payments are not going from pz wallet now.

Rent payments are going through via wallet . Just made today !!

For the first rental payment of the month, there are no charges.

Regarding "can we cancel?", not sure (as have no personal experience) but think if we speak to RG team and ask for cancellation - may be possible.

Full refund will be given, but 10-12 working days

For all you know, the transaction could get reversed but HDFC could keep the 1% charge since they did process the transaction. Also, if the NEFT is already done by RedGirraffe, then it will be very difficult to retrieve the money.

HDFC charges 1% only for the second transaction of the month. Now, most users, will have only one rental payment per month unless they are into something else.

So, if most likely scenario, you will get full money back

it did for this quarter count, I checked.

Rent payment does count in milestone in DCB metal.
At least it used to till November.

Ok, so i can also confirm i did transaction on1st Feb, and MCC is now Rent for it, so no point using it in future,And getting transaction cancelled is not a good idea and get into hassle of tracking refund and making another payment to house owner. but only solace is it counted for milestone.

Yup, it still makes sense for DCB Metal (for me at least) if it helps you achieve your quarterly milestones.

Not able to see the option to pay through Wallet on Payzapp(Redgiraffe). It shows error while loading payment methods and if you try 2-3 times it asks to add a credit/debit card and just shows a message that linked payment methods are not valid
