Infinia RedGiraffe payment via hdfc bill pay using credit card marked as RENTALBBPSNO instead of HDFC BILLPAY this time

Hi all,

Looks like HDFC has patched redgiraffe payment option as well in bill pay option via credit card.

Now payment email contains remarks as RENTALBBPSNO instead of HDFC BILLPAY when payment made to redgiraffe via credit credit using hdfc bill pay.

I don’t think we will get rewards points anymore on this. I will get to know in few days once amount is settled.

Does anyone else have received reward points after getting remarks as RENTALBBPSNO via hdfc bill pay ?

Damn, read this thread a little late. I too did my redgirraffe payment through HDFC portal today 28th Jan and can confirm the biller name came as RENTALBBPSNO

Yes but not a single platform allow you to pay rent with amex card

Currently, the only way.to use amex for rent payment is via mobikwik route
Load money into your mobikwik wallet with your amex card (ofc with some convenience fee). Use code "century" to reduce the conv fee. Now you can transfer the entire wallet amount to any bank account( ofc not your bank account as you are not a money rotator) , your landlord's bank account to be precise

I just checked Cred for Amex for rent payment. It is not supporting Amex, but you can pay using Cred for Visa and Mastercard. Don't know about MCC.

Yeah, amex is out of picture. I just checked, they take 1.7% as fee. But not sure whether credit card companies charge anything on top of it.

I think they have done payment just before the time its patched. I will wait for confirmation from more people before I make any changes.

Yes I am also waiting for the same. Any idea when rent is deducted if I tune on smartpay? My due date is 10th Feb in RG.

Below is the only option now for rent agreements registered with Redgirraffe with few questions :

Load Payzapp wallet and pay to redgirraffe id ( Does payzapp levy any fees now? )
If we load payzapp wallet with SBI Vistara Prime do we get CV points and / or milestone benefits ? Does SBI levy fees on wallet loads ?
Any other credit card suggestion to use with Payzapp+Redgirraffe ?

Other options without Redgirraffe:
Load MobiKwik wallet with Amex with fees ( 2.95% is it ?? ) with CENTURY code (100 cash back) and pay landlord account ?

Please help answering above questions and correct me if I am wrong ?
