Regalia Gold Regalia LTF to Regalia Gold LTF - Bank's mistake of words in MyCards app.

I was getting spammed with Regalia LTF to Regalia Gold FYF upgrade offer since almost an year. In hdfc net banking it is clearly showing FYF upgrade, but today checked HDFC my cards. And this upgrade offer is very confusing one. It says "Annual fees are not applicable if your current card is LTF" and my current card is LTF. Anybody with similar experience? Pls share your story and final outcome.

UPDATE : 12th NOV 2024:
They issued FYF card after appying for this upgrade. but escalation to PNO resulted in to LTF conversion. 3-4 other TFinas were also able to convert their FYF in to LTF with same trick. Check your Mycards app, if you are getting same words then apply for LTF upgrade.

This is LTF Upgrade. Its was FYF but then they converted to LTF after considering your request.

1. Its LTF upgrade because your existing card is LTF.
2. CS played smart here, if you accept 3rd one, they "can" convert it to paid and levy annual fee. smart move to basically take your approval to charge LTF to paid.
-- as @ontherocks said, its their success.

Respond for 1, 2, 4 and forgot about 3rd point (like you didn't see at all in that mail, like bank sometimes respond without reading our mail) and also re-specify your offer in that mail again use same ambiguity words in your response too.

Make sure you're not in trouble, thats it.

The fools think the fee charged in 365 days is the first year fee. By that logic I don’t know what the initial fee is. Application fee? Admission fee?

I have dropped an Email too, it’s been about a week and no response yet.
Mean time I have received my card. In Net Banking the new Regalia Gold card is shown as active though I have not activated it yet!
Should I start using the card or wait for feedback?

Nice, congrats for the LTF gold. This process takes little stress and uncertainty but at the end we are winning.

Right. I did that yesterday by sending a separate email to PNO. But i’m not closing this ticket. Will keep wasting their time.

Seems like you will have to wait longer and give proper fight till the LTF. After utilising all the levels of escalation Give them a warning about RBI ombudsman complaint and it should work.

They took sometime but eventually agreed to convert it.

Had to take a plunge because of the glitch observed in MyCards.
Patience and right guidance from this forum helped to get it ✌️
