They didn’t upgrade my FK. I had to cancel it and apply for Samsung

You cant upgrade different rewards card. If you have slot(3 card limit), they will just give you new card without closing the exisitng one.

Upgradation is possble from MyZone, Privilege, Select

Get Samsung for the 30k. Downgrade to privilege to get the 12k. Get upgraded to Samsung again for the 30k and the loop continues.

And later close all cards otherwise risk of reversal of points as happened for Reserve card 😛

I am also thinking of closing the samsung card now after gettimg 30k points. On renewal it wont give 30k. Also, it creates 1 space to get axis card/

Yes. That will be a new card. We need to see whether axis will approve card before 6 months of closure.

Used the mobile app as I already have an account with Axis. No documents were asked.

Same here. I applied a week back as well. An agent came and did the KYC verification as well. But no confirmation of approval yet.

Applied for the card today after cancelling my FK card as I have some international expenses coming up (although very small). So thought may as well use this opportunity to combine the rewards.

Lets see how this goes.

Same here. I applied a week back as well. An agent came and did the KYC verification as well. But no confirmation of approval yet.

Got a message today that the card is approved and will be soon dispatched. I am able to see the card details in the Mobile App as well. So, it took about 8 working days for the approval.

It might be the because of the 3 month rule. You need to wait for 3 months after getting one card before you apply for another.

Applied online, but an agent came the next day to verify and fill in additional details

I'm not specifically referring to the Samsung Infinite Card, but in general, if a card is pre-approved, you would typically receive it without any cooling off period. However, in your case, since you applied separately online, the 3-month rule was applied before the card was approved.
