SBI account opening issue.

I had an SBI account earlier when I was a student. But after 2 years of bad experiences with SBI, I closed that account and submitted all my documents, including my debit card and passbook. Recently, however, I need to open an SBI savings account for personal reasons. I am aware of their service quality, but I still need to open an account.

When I tried to open the account online, I encountered an error saying, "User seems to be having some existing relationship with the bank." I also contacted my nearest branch, and they told me they need my old account number and CIF number for verification. But I no longer have that information, as I submitted all those documents to the bank.

What should I do? How can I open a new account with SBI? Please help if possible. Thanks in advance.

PAN card & Aadhar both I've used. But they declined they told me that we cannot find I need to find & provide them.
Raise your concern using their escalation matrix. They will retrieve the required information.

Try to open the account via branch, using account opening form.

Check your mail/SMS, see if you can find something.

If you want to open a new account in SBI with existing CIF, visit the nearest branch and share PAN / Mobile number.

Tell them CIF is generated already and submit relevant account opening form.

You can't open the account online.

The matter is, branch denied that it can't be found.

He wants to open a savings account, whether CIF is available or not is irrelevant.

Bank will automatically link the savings account after submitting the forms. So, he has to proceed with account opening instead of running around for CIF.
