SBI Card Debited Reward Points Without Any Proper Clarification

Hello everyone,
Recently, SBI Card debited reward points or posted equivalent charges to many of their cardholders.
Reason: According to SBI Card's T&C, cardholders will not earn reward points during sales (Amazon/Flipkart sales), because cardholders already get instant discounts... Okay, but when many people asked them to give a proper explanation with transaction-wise calculations, they just sent a generic email reply.
So, I'm thinking of making a banking kissa video.
I'm requesting everyone to post screenshots of reward debits, equivalent charges, emails, email replies, etc. here.
Thank you all 🙂

I was eligible for 1112rs of cashback for jan but none provided. Also money deducted. I used in sales during sep not in oct.

This is for my SBI Vistara Prime card. This is the reason I was fearing taking the SBI one instead of Axis. They should have deducted CV points but they have posted these transactions as cash in the unbilled section.

Mine also deducted

SBI card is looting. They debited a total of Rs 3848 from my card. And when mailed them they are just mentioning cashbacks has been forfeited for the transactions eligible for instant discount or cashback that were done from 14th September 2022 and didn't share any detailed clarification. Also they mentioned that they can't reverse or waive off the charges. This is really very disappointing from such a big credit card company.

Debited 3993 without notification.
What to do now, this is really worst bank I have ever seen. SBI Cashback Card is now useless, can some one provide the SBI notification documents related to instant cashback not applicable post October 7 2022, so that I can file compliant to RBI.

If anyone already filed a compliant, please brief us how to do that

I am still sulking that SBI debited more than 4k+ from my card and there's nothing we can do about it.

Same here, they debited 3k points and 2.1k cash. I will raise a complaint as mentioned in the video.

Can some provide the SBI Notification pdf, that the cashback is not applicable from October 7, 2022

Even in my statement they have debited 2k+ reward points without any explanation

Thanks Sumanta da for the video and thread.

I raised to SBI Customer Care and their answer was generic

We would inform you that with immediate effect, reward points accrued on transactions eligible for instant discount and cashback offer will be forfeited, as per offer program T&C.

Reward points will be forfeited for all transaction done during offer period and considered for offer computation.

Incase cardholder does not have adequate reward points balance at the time of forfeiture, an amount equal to the deficit in the reward points will be debited from your card.

Your valued feedback will further help us in improving our products and services. We request you to share your value experience with us through feedback link shared on your registered email id.

Reputation, trust and image are hard to repair and they impact the bank's bottomline.

Retaliate by closing the card and staying away from them. Do not recommend them and whenever adequate throw them under the bus if someone asks about SBI.

Personally after reading this I'll stay away from SBI.
