SBI Cashback Card - Converted to LTF (Jan 2025)

Hello Folks,

FYI I have recently managed to get my SBI Cashback credit card converted to LTF through an email request 🙂

I have been using the card now from more than 2 years with last 2 years spends crossing 2lacs & have got fee waiver against the same.
Few days back just thought of writing email to SBI team requesting them to consider converting my Cashback card to LTF basis my past spend records without having strong expectation of getting any success.

As a first response got a call from SBI executive mentioning about no such offer available at present on the card to convert it to LTF. And asked me to wait to get offer in future.
But just before the end of the call he asked me if I will continue making similar amount spends on the card if converted to LTF. After confirmation he raised a request for me to change PCTID (for LTF conversion) for the card without giving any assurance that it will be approved.

And after 4-5 days, I got another update on the ticket about successful closure and card converted to LTF.
Something good to cheer about during this devaluation days of Credit cards & also having this as 3rd LTF card from SBI now 🙂

Hi everyone, just recently got approved for the sbi cashback card.wanted to confirm about the authenticity of the information provided by the customer care which are as follows:
1: There is no joining fee (which I everywhere read that there is joining fee and it could not be waived off)

2:I get free life time free add on card

3:The main one is that the it said that the cashback capping is 5k for an individual card.
For example the main card has limit of 5k
And the first and second add on card also have separate 5k limit meaning if I have 1 primary card and 2 add on card then I can earn 15 k if I spend 3l online eligible spend

Is the above correct and has anyone done and got it before?
This was all clarified by the customer care executive.

If anyone has done it please inform

Here you go. Also, I just noticed that the first reversal I received (in the first screenshot) shows the date as May 2, 2023, while the rest of the transactions show 2024. If I remember correctly, that was when I was charged the joining fee. So, perhaps it was actually a reversal of the joining fee, instead of reversal of the annual fee twice!

See there are some igst debit credit adjustments also in May 02 2023 which u have blacked out which is done by sbi.In my current statement also there are some principal debit adjustments written but the overall effect is Nil. I don't understand y sbi creates these kind of confusions. Check whether u have paid for similar adjustments in your previous statements. See in my statement also sbi has levied adjustments. Joining fees and annual fees are different items. Yours may be a glitch or error that it has been credited but if i were u I would check previous statements also.

Bruh, come on! I’m not here to PROVE whether I received it or not. I’m simply stating that I did, and I even provided screenshots to satisfy your curiosity. If you still don’t believe me, that’s fine. You’re entitled to your own opinion.

As for your "Check whether..." suggestion, I track all my card transactions in an app called Spendr. I manually enter every credit and debit transaction for each of my credit cards. If it had been an error that was later corrected (like SBI reversing the extra credited fee reversal), I would have noticed it in an instant.

Anyway, take care and have fun!

Bro I still stand by what I said. Joining fees reversal and annual fees reversal are two different things. Urs might be a technical error which lead to reversal twice but I haven't seen sbi giving joining fees reversal to anyone in case of sbi cashback credit card to be specific. Anyways congrats for the reversal
