As mentioned on the forum earlier too, SBI stopped taking requests for changing the limit split between cards.

Today I called SBI for something and just asked them casually if they can help me move some limit from my simplyclick to cashback card and they just did it. So its still possible.

I was able to close SimplySave today (auto upgraded card) and transfer all its remaining limit to Cashback card without issues, current CL around 2.5L on Cashback as of now.

My primary card was over 5+ years though, so I'm not sure if that matters.

My SimplyClick is 6 years old. If I can successfully transfer its limit to Cashback, I would close SimplyClick and keep Cashback.

When I got my cash back card last year I got a paltry 20k limit. I had another SBI card with 140k limit. I had asked for transfer of at least 100k to cash back card but was only transferred 20k limit.
This was done via speaking to customer care rep, they opened a ticket to me.

Old SBI card 120k
CB card 40k

Recently I had some large purchases online and wanted to use CB card. I created a ticket in app, but my request got denied in a very round about way.

Apparently transfer still works, I asked for a transfer of 100k from old card to CB card.
I received no reply for 2 days. Escalation matrix says customer care turn around time is 1 day. O escalated it to nodal officer. Their turn around time is 5 days.

Got a reply within 3 days and went from 40k to 140k.
Old card is now at 20k. Will be closing that soon.
I hope this helps.

Thank you for sharing, but we already know. 😁

Got screwed big time.
I transferred the limit from my central cc to simplyclik and closed the central cc. Imagine what, they removed that transferred limit as well from my simply click and the limit reverted back to the inital limit of 10k. Sigh..
I'm done with SBI. Will close simply click as well now.
So anyone who's planning to close SBI cards are limit transfer, please dont do it as you'll loose the limit as well.

Ok guys..
Im totally confused, but in a good way.
I did get my splitted limit removed from my sbi simplyclick card when i canacelled the central select card. And today when i opened the sbicard app, all that limit has come back. So im happy now to have 1 paod card of abi with all the limit transferred off from the other card.

Apparently you could transfer limit from your Closed SBI card too

there was nothing to worry 💀🤣.

Just got my limit split from SBI cashback card (3.2 L) to newly acquired simply click card (20 K) which I got for sale discounts.
Called customer care for limit increase. First was being asked to mail income documents and bank statements. Then I checked if limit could be split and they agreed. Limit updated in 2 days with 50:50 split as I had requested.

Someone has reported earlier that we can still transfer limit from closed card to active card. (Not able to point out now). I requested customer care agent on call, she tried but got error because card is not active. I tried this 1 year back via email, that time also customer service agent had replied the same thing. May I know whom to approach to transfer limit from closed SBI card to active card.

I did transferred from 2 closed cards to 1 active one and it's still possbile .... just convince the executive to atleast try once and it will go through

If they didn't take request then I can call again and try to convince them and hope one or another executive will transfer the limit. But here issue is they tried and got error while processing limit sharing request.
Anyhow I will call again next week. You tried via call only na?

what's the error?
In their system it shows like limit can't be transferred as card is already closed. I asked her to try with lower amount but she replied that it's not allowing to enter limit to be transferred.
I got a message as " Dear SBI Credit Cardholder, we wish to inform you that currently you are not eligible for Credit Limit bifurcation on your multi-card accounts."

did you recently transferred from any other card?

Yeah, 15 days back. This might be the reason. But as she said system shows error like due to closed card.
Last year on email also they have told the same thing. Limit can't be transferred from closed card.
