I paid HDFC CC outstanding amount via SBI Unipay. Initially it showed as if the payment was successful. But later after couple of days, the payment got failed and status changed in Unipay portal to transaction failed & I missed the due date. Later SBI has reversed the transaction and credited back the amount.

Due to this my Cerdit Score has dropped big time. It is currently 685. Is there any way that I can reach out to the bank and request for reveral of this delayed payment reporting? I hold Imperia account with HDFC and the RM and Customer care reps are consused and are not able to give a concrete answer.

I was having a plan of getting new house loan in the next few months and this Credit Score hit can have a sever impact on my housing plans and hence need to get it reversed badly. I am fine with the penality and other charges but it is the credit score that hurts me a lot. Is there anything that I can do here to get my credit score fixed across all the agencies? How can I take it up with HDFC bank / Credit agencies / SBI Unipay?

How come payment was successful if amount wasn't debited? Sorry I'm not aware of any tricks or loopholes whatsoever.
There was bug where SBI Unipay didn't debit any payment from payer account/DC but credited to beneficiary i.e. credit card.

So OP utilised this trick 🤣 which he didn't mention in main post & now SBI reversed all payments from credit card for which OP never paid.

Now tell what's strong case here?

Sorry bhaii ye sab to nee pta tha. Acha e hua fir to bnta e aise logo ka damage hona to. No offence.

That is the whole Glitch🤣

SBI Marked it successful without receiving any Payment from Cardholder. Later Reveresed it.

Cardholder thought, He paid off his Liability but for Bank it is just a credit due to a System error not a Bonafide Repayment by Cardholder
In my case, the amount was debited from my bank - which also happens to be HDFC in this case. Later, after 10 days, the amount was refunded back to my account. Even HDFC had credited 1% cashback for the Unipay spends and has been later reversed post the refund from Unipay.

Then HDFC GRC/customer service ko email kariye bank statement & unipay screenshot ke sath.

Aapka kaam ho jaega 😜.

Nope. I did not write anything like that nor I was aware of any such bug till today.!! In fact, I paid a few other CC bills on the same day via Unipay and the rest all got settled except this one.

Maybe I should consider myself lucky as just one failed and not all others.
If it is genuine case then follow this
Bhai, you should definitely take action here. Here's a step-by-step plan:

1. Contact SBI Unipay First:
Reach out to SBI Unipay and get a detailed statement or acknowledgment regarding the failed transaction. Ask them to provide a formal letter or email confirming their system's failure caused the issue and the timeline of reversal. This will serve as evidence.

2. File a Complaint with RBI Ombudsman:
If SBI doesnt resolves the issue, file a complaint with the RBI Ombudsman (Banking Ombudsman for HDFC and Digital Ombudsman for SBI Unipay). State the facts clearly, attaching all proof of payment, reversal, and correspondence. Request CIBIL rectification and compensation for the damage caused to your credit score.

3. Ask for CIBIL Rectification Directly:
Once the bank acknowledges the error, request them to send a corrected report to CIBIL and other credit agencies. You can also raise a CIBIL Dispute directly online with supporting documents, but banks are better positioned to fix this quickly.

4. Negotiate Penalties Separately:
Agree to pay any late fees or penalties (if applicable), as this will show goodwill on your part and may expedite the rectification process.

Don’t let them get away with this negligence. Compensation and CIBIL rectification are your rights. Push hard and follow up diligently, bro!

Ending with a quote "Justice is not just about correcting mistakes, but ensuring those mistakes don't cost the innocent their peace or future."
