I paid HDFC CC outstanding amount via SBI Unipay. Initially it showed as if the payment was successful. But later after couple of days, the payment got failed and status changed in Unipay portal to transaction failed & I missed the due date. Later SBI has reversed the transaction and credited back the amount.
Due to this my Cerdit Score has dropped big time. Is there any way that I can reach out to the bank and request for reveral of this delayed payment reporting? I hold Imperia account with HDFC and the RM and Customer care reps are consused and are not able to give a concrete answer.
I was having a plan of getting new house loan in the next few months and this Credit Score hit can have a sever impact on my housing plans and hence need to get it reversed badly. I am fine with the penality and other charges but it is the credit score that hurts me a lot. Is there anything that I can do here to get my credit score fixed across all the agencies? How can I take it up with HDFC bank / Credit agencies / SBI Unipay?

As reaching to RM and calling customer care did not work out, I sent a detailed mail to HDFC Grievance Redressal and Priority Redressal teams - detailing the scenario with proof of initiating the payment and evidence of debit from my HDFC savings account (and its corresponding reversal), and explained about the technical error from BILLPAY / UNIPAY which had resulted in CIBIL Impact and requested them to revert it. I got automated email from Priority Redressal that they be working on it.
After 2 days I got a detailed response from Priority Redressal that they will not be able to do anything about the reporting to credit agencies and it is automated. I had already predicted this response, so there was nothing much about this and I vented my anger in the feedback survey 🤣
Every day I checked the CIBIL score to look at the trend. To my surprise, yesterday when I refreshed the score, I saw that my CIBIL score was reverted back to my original score. I was thrilled and explored further. Even the late payment history showed that there was no late payment. IT DID HAPPEN!! HDFC had reverted that reporting and my CIBIL score has been restored.
