SC Smart Cashback Query

Hello community!!

Can anyone clarify SC smart cashback related query..

Do we earn cashback per statement like Ace?? or Monthly (Like transactions are calculated from 1st of every till end of the month)

In website (Get 2%* cashback on all your Online spends, up to a maximum of Rs 1000 per month.) but not sure is it for real!
 
I recently got the SC Smart card. Activated it on 25th September, 2024 and had the 1st transaction on the same day. My question is, will the cap of Rs 1000 cashback on online transactions every month be reset on 30th September? I plan to do a big transaction this month and had almost come close to the 1000 CB mark by 30th September last month?
Its statement cycle.. not monthly cycle.. you have to wait till statement generation(mostly 25th oct) in oct to again get 1k cashback(50k transaction).

It's actually monthly cycle in case of SC Smart. You can refer to this thread for most cashback cards

also the transaction date and not the cashback credit date is taken for 1000Rs CB per month right? i.e. say I do a 30k transaction on 1st Oct and another 20k on 31st Oct where total amount is 50k so 2% online gives 1000CB but the settlement/cashback credit date would be mostly 3-5th Oct/ 2-4 Nov but it will be considered as 1000 CB as transaction dates are in Oct only and not 600 for Oct and 400 for Nov?

I have not tried that. With SC, its always better to keep things simple sice their customer support is poor.

Mostly banks take the settlement date. So avoid such high value transactions on 30 th and 31st
 
Has anyone used the card recently for low mdr category? Is it fetching 2% cashback?

My utility mcc transaction on 5th September fetched 2%, but one education mcc transaction on 15th October fetched only 1% cashback. Not getting any update from customer care.
 
Tried snapay few days back for 7k but didn't get cashback till now.
I got 2% on snapay in October month.

But no luck in November. Is there any minimum amount to get cashback ?
I always did minimum of 15k before and got 2% cashback before on snapay.

Raise to customer care. Sc customer care is shit, but no other option.

They seem to have added some weird bugs and is varying across accounts. A few people have mentioned this issue that they aren't getting any cashback recently.

For me, so far all cashback is credited properly except 1 education mcc, where I got only 1% instead of 2 and I am now avoiding trabsaction on that merchant again. Customer care is taking its own time to resolve the issue (first they need to understand it though 🤦‍♂️).

And one more thing was that they merged the all negative reward points in past years accumulated due to refunds with cashback, so actual cashback amount reduced post merger or went in negative for some people. But that is expected and you can't fight here.

Did u raise to Customer care via call or email.
If you mail they don't respond.
 
Nope, did a transaction on 1st November for 50k but ended up getting Cashback of 80rs/- only. I thought Cashback is for calendar month but looks like it is for billing cycle 😞
Cashback was for calendar month before . I also didnt receive cb ,done 6.5k on 1 Nov.
Will try another transaction after statement generation .
You received 80 Rs for remaining 1000 cb limit ?
