SC Ultimate (Standard Chartered Ultimate) Upgrade Suggestion

Hello!!!

Recently I have been receiving calls to upgrade my Manhattan Card to Ultimate card. My Manhattan card is free and the Ultimate would cost Rs. 5000 plus taxes every year. Here they are offering 5000 reward points on every renewal without any conditions. So effectively the card costs me Rs. 900 approx. Now my query is should I go for it? Right now I have decent number of cards. Don't have too much utility expenses. Use my Infinia for offline shopping and SBI Cashback for Online. Please suggest if it's worth to pay fee for SC Ultimate?

I requested cancellation of upgrade request as I never asked for upgrade by calling cc. CCE mentioned that it will be closed in 7 working days without upgrade. But any idea of any cooling period to get 2nd scb cc after the 1st one delivered. The 1 rupee authentication is not working for me as mentioned in previous comment

2 attempts failed with scb add on so i forgot it bro
Some offline form with spouse kyc doc i sent to them but nothing happened and cant track also
Branch is not knowing exactly the path to get addon

Exclusive Standard Chartered lack here
AmEx made much easy addons and i got 2k rewards a time if i recollect
There was some campaign on AmEx

I have SCB add-on and if I remember correctly, it was done thru phone. SCB was my First card and it was an add-on to my Dad's card but this was more than 10 years ago.

Did u both have joint account with Standard Chartered

No, I was in college. In fact, just checked and it was in 2008! My sister and myself had addons (& still do) in my Dad's card.

The phone's process is not working now

its lengthy paperwork now. either visit branch to apply add-on or fill and courier.

also, add-on applicant address must be in serviceable location.

In some places they'll come and collect depends on nearest sc branch.

Any limitation with scb such that if previously we held one card then we can not get same type of card in future @Wealth is my birth right! ? I remember one of cce mentioned that I can't get Super Value Titanium as I held it in the past.

It’s true but not the way cce said
Standard Chartered wont allow us for degradation of any of our cards we can only upgrade meaning that earlier what we had we cant get again after upgrading
Hack: close all cards with scb post 3 month we r eligible to any low variance 😉

as long as you're eligible for that card.
