I too saw Vijay sales few days back, but not now. This list can show how SC changing the voucher very often

Why avoid? Uber is a decent way of using the points. While there are other main cards that I use, I was planning to add this card since they give 6k on joining and 5k on renewal anyway. So basically free. Should I still avoid?

Not many prefer Uber if they have their own vehicle, and lot of other vouchers too if none is useful.. that's why I posted the list, so that whoever going to apply can see the pattern of vouches available..

5900 is essentially 900 only since you get points on renewals.
Also, is it not 5 for 150 ? That's 3.33% ? Thats how much infinia gives.

Also, what about wallet recharges? They give 3.33 on that right? ANd rent ?

My only reason for purchase is PayZapp wallet top ups. I holder an Infinia for other vouchers.
Since we get 5000 on renewal, only 900 goes out of pocket. In return we can get a lot more through Wallet and bank top ups.
And for vouchers, it’s always safe to use Uber.
Consider this, if I transfer 40,000 to payzapp every month, I will get 400 just by paying the bill on CheQ. If I do that twice, then the additional 900 also comes in.
I don’t see why this card is hated so much

Alternatively u can buy apay GV with 5x rewards card and add it to amazon and tag it
to uber
Even with ultimate card u can buy gv

Most of the Vouchers are crap , they used to have Tanishq, Bigbasket, Kalyan Jewellers, Apple , EasemyTrip vouchers , but they removed everything slowly slowly , I am planning to close my ultimate credit card once I will redeem all the points.

Depends on what you want out of redemption. I have this card for last 5 years and used points in past to buy Bigbasket vouchers in bulk. Have literally been buying all my groceries through Ultimate points. But as mentioned above, most of the vouchers having good utility been removed. Some of the good redemption options remain around travel - Taj, ITC, Marriott, Vistara or as someone else said Uber. I personally redeemed points last week for 75k Taj voucher.

Good part is this Taj voucher is different from Amex issued Taj vouchers. This one can be reloaded like normal Taj Experience gift cards sold by Taj. This way you don’t have a sword hanging on your neck to redeem your voucher within a specified period. Validity of voucher when issued is 12 months but you can easily extend it by another 12 months simply by adding 500 to balance.
