Tata Neu Not Opening, Insecure Environment Error

aparnahm

TF Premier
I have a problem opening Tata Neu App. Error I get is "This app cannot run because the environment is not secure and your data may be at risk". I have done the following but no resolution.
01. Uninstalled and installed app
02. Cleared cache, cleared storage
03. Restarted phone
The version I have is 5.2.1, so there is no way I can do an update, which the customer care suggested. I can't downgrade too as there is no old version available in PlayStore. It is almost a month since the issue, customer care only tells me to have patience until a new version is released which is supposed to fix the issue.
I had a spend based offer on the HDFC Infinity CC. I am supposed to redeem it in the 1st week of Sept. But how do I do it without the app opening properly? Can any of you please help, in case you had the same issue and you could resolve it?
Complaining on Twitter and on PlayStore hasn't helped too.
Many thanks in advance.

I was hoping it will be there near where it says your device is not certified.

Please try clearing cache / data for Google play service and see if any update available for Google play service. https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/9037938?sjid=14355780420045502799-AP
There is no fix device button where it says device is not certified.
Forgot to mention this point. My playstore is updated. I had tried clearing storage/cache of this previously. Did again. No use.

Quite possible that removing untune would have left some configuration incorrect that it might be managing.

Did you restart device after clearing play services cache?

Can you test with any safety net check tools to see if that can find anything specific?

Could be. Contacted my ex company admin. He says take a backup and do a recovery.
Didn't restart after clearing cache. Will try now and update.
Avoiding using extra apps . Will try out this also if reset didn't help. Will try reset tomorrow.

Developer settings is turned off. So OEM thing also should be off.
Technically yes, but if developer settings was on and OEM setting was on, a key would have been updated for OEM settings which may have not been changed / updated/ turned off when developer settings was directly turned off.
So, turn on developing settings and then turn on and the off OEM settings and restart your phone.

Will try, thanks

Clearing cache and restarting didn't help

This also didn't help

Same issue was happened with me last month, there was nothing wrong in my phone, it was their fault and after getting the next app update it was fixed for me.
I have seen many users reported the same on X, and Tata replied that their tech team is working for the patch

May be some new app installation/uninstallation accidentally deleted security certificate from your phone. you may try copying same version security certificates from another phone and then paste that all security certificates in your phone & then restart your mobile..
