Tata Neu app is clearly the most amazing app ever made on the planet earth.

• It has almost everything, be it all the tata apps integrated inside this app.
• It has scan and pay.
• It has credit card (HDFC one) details page.
• It has all the bill payment integrated.
• It has insurance
• It has FD
• It has bonds
• It has loans
• It has pay later
• It has lab tests
• It has flights.

You name it and it's there, it's like google but actually inbuilt everything. I can't even imagine how great of app it is.
But everything comes with a cost right?
And it pays the price.
And that is
"NONE OF THESE APPS WORK"
Literally everything takes either years to load or ends up saying "sorry we are done for the day, try other places, but at least we have everything in one app, how cool is that?"

I use the app for UPI payments and placing BB order and it works fine but for rest, yes it's damn slow and doesn't load most of the times.

Actually,I don't really care about the stupid app..

But...it's frustrating when an apps inefficiency impacts my rewards and convenience. Splitting UPI into a separate app might have made things smoother. Its annoying to lose out on Tata Neu points because I had to shift to Gpay. Hopefully, they improve soon, or theres a workaround that gets the points they promised!

I use Tata Neu for BigBasket orders.
I use BigBasket's app to add the items in the cart......
Then open tata neu, go to BB (thankfully its there in the cart), and place the order. Thats it!! 5% NeuCoins from TataNeu
Same thing with Croma, Tata Cliq etc

Its Okay-ish i guess. BigBasket works fine and UPI payments are slow but bearable. 1mg is also decent but glitches a lot. Whats very finnicky is the support..i dont know where to go it sometimes routes me to individual app support and sometimes to TN Bot..whatever is happening there

I use Neu App for BB very regularly, and even gone on to uninstall Big Basket app. Same for 1MG medicines.
Managed to book a flight as I needed to redeem Neucoins, pay my bills as they don't have the drama of convenience charges on billpay unlike GPay or Paytm and also gives the 5 percent reward on my Neu Infinity. I managed to place a couple of orders on Croma. Other than for BB, the app is a bit on the slower side. The FD and a few other sections have accessibility issues. Have been using the app since the time of launch. From that point of view, it has improved a lot.
I wish they put a lot more effort on support, that is the poorest aspect of the app for me. They don't even know where to direct you most of the times. The robot is straight from the 20th century!
So lots of scope for improvement, but not the poorest going around either.

I like it as well for managing to squeeze almost everything that I'd need into a relatively lightweight app. I found a lot of hangs in the beginning but in the past year or so I have used it for Croma and BB purchases and found no issues. The NeuCoins are a big plus. I use a Galaxy S; so my phone's powerful alright.

Another positive experience with TataNeu -
On the main page they have some offer of 100 NeuCoins on a BB order of MOV 300 until 31st Jan. I did not see that until after I placed my order. I still activated the offer and I got the 100 NeuCoins once my order was delivered without doing anything. In Amazon you must collect the offer before order. I also like how BB shows a page saying "Missed to apply offer code?" after your order has been placed. Those are very user friendly moves in an online world littered with examples of companies trying to ensure it is hard for you to find and apply offers.

I mean obviously it comes in handy when it can do everything.

But often when you try to do everything, you can't do the best of anything.

Scan and Pay is super slow, takes the longest to open when compared to Google Pay/Paytm/Phonepe.

Ordering medicines/electronics opens up in a browser-enabled page that is often laggy and slow and doesn't load properly.

Booking flights is cumbersome, hard to change dates, look for multiple options, very limited flight portfolio.

But if they keep improving the app and make it smoother, I believe it has a lot of potential! 🙂
