Tata Neu Not Opening, Insecure Environment Error

aparnahm

TF Premier
I have a problem opening Tata Neu App. Error I get is "This app cannot run because the environment is not secure and your data may be at risk". I have done the following but no resolution.
01. Uninstalled and installed app
02. Cleared cache, cleared storage
03. Restarted phone
The version I have is 5.2.1, so there is no way I can do an update, which the customer care suggested. I can't downgrade too as there is no old version available in PlayStore. It is almost a month since the issue, customer care only tells me to have patience until a new version is released which is supposed to fix the issue.
I had a spend based offer on the HDFC Infinity CC. I am supposed to redeem it in the 1st week of Sept. But how do I do it without the app opening properly? Can any of you please help, in case you had the same issue and you could resolve it?
Complaining on Twitter and on PlayStore hasn't helped too.
Many thanks in advance.

There is one last resort.. you could download an older version of the tata Neu app from one of the online apk sites and install that to check if that app version works.
Disclaimer: It also can be risky if the app is tampered.

Won't work since it will throw "update your app" error once you open the older version apk.

How come I could use the tata neu app for more than one year until this issue happened?
They updated the app last month or so to check for device integrity.

Which site is reliable? Can you recommend pls?
try apkmirror abd apkpure..first of all download it..and install..then download an antivirus like bitdefender..login with a fake mail id and password,,u will get an trial of 15days..scan that apk..if u r safe..good to use that tataneu apk..i think u should go back to old version of tataneu..now point is..none knows if old version will work or not

Are you sure about the introduction of device integrity check? So you what check is carried out?
Btw, CC vabe back today and said my device is rooted. I don't know how they came to this conclusion. They haven't even asked for my device model till now. Anyhow, I installed supersu app to check for rooting. It said device is not rooted. I was scared that a malware could have done that.

no its not malware..since ur device is not certified thats why ur apps r detecting it as root..as u have 0 knowledge regarding rooting and all..theres no chance to get it rooted

I was thinking of the probability of me getting a refurbished phone while buying from Amazon. Anyhow, phone is not rooted. This is confirmed by supersu app.
Did Tata Neu introduce a security feature to phone certification in the latest update? Their CC is not confirming.
How come a factory reset didn't resolve the issue? Can the experts pls comment?
Fact remains that Tata Neu app worked fine until mid August.

supersu app is trash..even on rooted phn u can get it unrooted..if u dont give permission of root..simple as that..
its not tata neu app issue..as my phn is rooted..issue is with ur phone..
m pretty sure ur latest play store or system update of phn had made the device uncertified..
did u update ur phn recently?
refurbished phn from amazon is damn costly..
rather buy from diff sites like ovantica, mobilegoo, cashify, phonezilla etc sites..you can utube about refurbished sites which r trusted

I am exploring because of the problem. So supersu is trash. Which is reliable?
I didn't intend to buy refurbished phone, it is really refurbished, Amazon has cheated. It is as clear as that.
The last system update happened in Dec 2023. But the app worked till mid August.

no app for root checking is reliable..listen..app will show ur phn root or not..when u give it root permission..
if ur phone is really unrooted..then u wont have optn to grant or deny..if ur phn is rooted..and u select deny.,.then supersu will show as unrooted..

now did u buy this nokia refurbished?and say the model of nokia..

There's no other explanation of how suddenly that error popped up.
And their Customer Care people are mindless robots who repeat what's fed to them.
Exactly, they just kept on repeating and finally says it is rooted. How did they come to the conclusion, no explanation given. Stupidest CC.

I ordered a new one. Is it possible that they shipped a refurbished one? How come I didn't have issues until recently?
Model is 5.4.

Maybe intune is the culprit here. There could have been a series of steps to be done before uninstalling intune. Intune is required to be added as an admin app and has some system level access. Directly uninstalling it may have broken something or removed some software. Just my guess now since nothing seems to work. Check with your ex-office if there are ways to fix this. Tell them ur phone is giving issues after uninstalling intune.

I already asked and he also said a factory reset should resolve the issue but it didn't.
Btw, I installed intune ony own and it was seen as an admin app. Guess there are no special steps to uninstall it. I will anyway ask again.
